Erik-Switzerland's winter is beautifully depicted here. Yes the D 100 is a great camera and you can see the quality here. I was up doing a shoot at Mt. Baker one autumn and another photographer there let me use his D-100 for a few frames. Now I have my D-70 which I am very pleased with. I plan to invest in professional lenses as time passes. Wouldn't it be nice if we could afford the best professional cameras around? Then, we could sell calendars or donate them to charity drives. Again, thank you for sharing your beautiful world. I would love to see Lauterbraunen some day, but I'm too busy photographing this continent. I did make it up to southeast Mt. Rainer (150 miles from Seattle and 14,411 feet tall) this winter. Wow. I was just over at Weezie's Webshots faces albums. I saw your background photo and wanted to see more of your work. I am so glad I did. This is the first of your albums I have seen but am excited to visit the others. Your sense of light and form are fantastic. The blue mountains are incredible - some of the best mountain landscapes I have ever seen! I loved the light/shadow and form in your morning shadows on snow, beautiful. Your close up of the snow crystals was also very intriguing - I have never seen such big snow crystals before. The big icicles especially the ones with the leaf and the waterdrop were very cool also. All together I am stunned by the beauty you captured in Switzerland. I know very little abut the place, but am amazed by your photos and want to see more. Thank you so much for sharing your photos.

Hello Erik, What a beautiful Album. I especially like the close up of snow covered branches. Is your new Nikon camera a digital one? The reason that I ask is that I have read that temperatures below freezing adversely affect digital camera operation. I have just bought a Pentax Optica 550 digital camera and am wondering if I will be limited in taking winter shots like yours. I hope not. Nevertheless, I still have my Nikon SLR if I have to use it. Erik...simply incredible album...so happy you got a new camera, but you give it too much credit...it is the eye behind the camera that creates these masterpieces !!! #15 is my favorite, looks like a sculpture !!The hues on your mountain pictures is so fragile looking...any moment it could be taken away....your eye for beauty just keeps getting better and better(as if that's possible!!) The only drawback to this album that I could find was that it wasn't long enough !!! Slide show went by way to quickly !!! THANK YOU for sharing all this breathtaking beauty with us !!!! by the way...when I saw that you had new work..I was so excited...i couldn't wait for my pc to load up so i could get there...when I got the album each and every image was riveting...i bordered between the joy of staying at each photo a while longer...and the anticipation of revealing the next one. at each stop I said, "OH..that's my favorite"...then at the next stop..."OH THAT's my favorite!" Erik, this album is !!!!!!oooOOOOooooo!!! Just as you drool over my sky scrapers, I am practically fainting over the natural beauty you have brought to the table. Your skill and gift for seeing is the fuel that makes this new camera do what it was destined to do. It must be very happy in your hands. :o)b Here are some adjectives that describe you album: POWERFUL, MOVING, BREATHTAKING, THOUGHT PROVOKING. I am so glad you included the close ups with abstract flavor. The full view being awesome....the close ups layering the feelings.....I am likening this to the layering of spices in Louisiana Cajun cooking. At first bite...spicy...impressive ...but then the the longer the food is in your mouth, there are more subtle flavors that come in waves. This is how I 'tasted' your album. and my my my...VERY TASTY!!!! Thanks again Erik. You da man. :o)b ps.
