It took most of these photos last week (August 2004), as it is harvest season in the area I live in here in Japan. There are just a few from 2002. This is a beautiful album of yours, and thanks again for your kind words. I love your waterfalls, and you have some beauties here. Excellent job! Everything has already been said!! Great stuff Em and Gypsy summed it up in true style!! Last time we were at the Natural Bridge there was a party of youths swimming under the fall! Have you visited Twin Falls in the hinterland of the Gold Coast? There is a 4km walk which takes you right down to the bottom and BEHIND the fall - you just have to hope the wind isn't blowing towards you when you do it!! There are some pics of that and others - including Milaa Milaa - in my Queensland albums from the 1980's. Hi Em, Great to hear from you again and thanks for being so kind with your compliments and taking the time to sign the Scotland guestbook.To answer your questions, Brodie is a friends dog and I want to keep him too :-} Dunkeld is a small town/village in Perthshire that is very picturesque right next to the river Tay.Perthshire is nicknamed "Big Tree Country" as it boasts the highest hedge in the world (at over 100ft tall) the oldest tree in Europe, (the Fortingall yew which is in the churchyard at Fortingal and is supposedly thousands of years old) and also the tallest tree in Europe. If you like trees then this is the place to be as there are so many different variety's here and I'm pleased to say that the pine plantations are being replaced with native woodland trees sucha s birch, spruce, elm etc. The Hermitage is a wooded walk that is near Dunkeld and is beautiful but I don't know where the name comes from. There is a small man made cave that is hundreds of years old and apparently a Hermit lived there for many years living off the land (and no doubt keeping the trolls, fairies, elves, pixies and other woodland creatures amused)I'm having problems with my card readers at the moment so can't put any more images on until I get a new one. I'm in the process of trying to get a portfolio together to go to Art college to do Photography but where to start? Enjoy your trip and have a safe one. I love the waterfalls. I'd love to photograph such lovely places but at least I can visit them through your eyes.Keep up the good work Em and be healthy and happy :-) PS You're right about Glencoe the spirits of the murdered Clansman are definitely still in the air.I've taken friends there who know nothing of the history of the place and they've felt the atmosphere.It kinda freaks them when you tell them the history of the place.
