Beautiful fishes they are. Somebody asked where fishes like these can be found. The Amazon basin, Brazil, has them up to 250-300 lbs. Not only cats, but quite a few other fresh water beauties. For more info and details, contact Ivan Barros.

Hi all I do not get around to this page often so here goes to all the questions. This is purely a collection of priceless big fish moments none were bagged by me, Barbell/catfish was cought at the Vaal river in South Africa. The remainder of the big cats are European Welts cought in Italy and some from the USA also. I never eat what I catch and always release.A spiecies known as the Vundu Barbel can be found in Zimbabwe also and is of similar size, I'm sure you will find cats like this anywhere in the world. Look up "noodeling" on Google to find out how they actually catch these things:-)

These fish are found in the Vaal river South Africa, the Europeans have a similar fish the European Wels or Welt I 'm not sure wich one. In the Okavango delta in Africa there is a species known as the Vundu Barbel which also reaches incredible sizes.
