  • Glad you liked my original home album. I now live in Canada. Where in Queensland do you live? My favourite of your Mist album is the Trio. theltas@yahoo.com

  • I love your misty photos and those of the forest trees as well. I'm English but now live in France and enjoy taking photo's in both countries. My son lives in Western Oz and I hope to visit him soon so will be able to take some more photo's whilst there. You are now on my favorites.

  • Em... these are stunning... Love the old cottages... I have a truckload of 'deserted' and derelict buildings...The always make for such great pickies.... like old cars on Outback Station Dumps...a Fave haunt of mine on special 'Pickie Jaunts'....LOL.... now I am going for a further wander to your very beautiful parts of Australia... *_*....

  • Hi Em, thank you for your kind comments. I hope that eventually I can get somewhere near the quality of your photo's, they are truly great. I really must put some more of my photo's on this site, but as you can see from my garden, which is about an acre in total, and does keep me rather busy!.I have just put a better shot of my cottage on, (pic N°1). Thanks for allowing me the pleasure of viewing your photographs. Daniel.

  • Hi, This album is beautiful! I love photos taken in the mist. Your cover photo is lovely, as is the entire album, but my favorite shot is, "Trio" just gorgeous! Thank you for your comments on my album, I had just made that private, as it gets NO views, I was so surprised to see you had commented on it, thanks again, Candy

Luckily my research site is in a creek valley that is foggy almost every morning I am there. And luckily I also get to view mist from elsewhere in beautiful photos like yours. Mike

  • EM! HI! ... SO happy to hear from you!! I am currently at work and about ten minutes ago I officially declared this day a beatin'. I had to take a break and this is a good way to do it. Thanks again for keeping my mailbox filled with lovely positive words!!! I need it so bad, as my job is dragging me off very badly of late!!! In regard to having your camera stolen...that is AWFULLLLLL! To me it would be like losing my soul! I had one stolen a while back and it was a pretty bad hit, but I wasn't as deeply into the adventure as I am now. I would be crushed to lose my Sally!!! Actually, a day does not go by that I don't at least have Sally in my hand once!! It is as if she has become me and an extension of my right arm!!! I am very happy with my choice. I will most likely go SLR in the future, but this fit my needs (and budget...LOL) quite nicely at this time. Every once in a while, I wish I had more aperature...11 is my Max. But I get along OK. I have added some diopter lenses to my bag o tricks....4+, 3+, 2+ and 1+. I use them in varying combinations always trying to keep as little glass between my lens and the subject as possible. I know that Anna O has her coolpix and she is totally happy with it too. It actually has more macro, right out of the box than mine and I admit that I had a twinge of doubt after I saw her Keukenhoff set, but I got over that pretty quickly. :o)b. THe two things I like best about the Dimage A2 are the flex point focus...LOVE THAT!!!!! and the anti shake technology. THe fact that it is 8.2 mgpx was a huge draw too. :o)b I have had some of my images made into 24 X 18 without any deterioration of grade of image. I'm sure I could go even larger with no problem! :o)b That's all I have to report for now. Back to work! :o)b more later...barbara

    said of pompeii7 pompeii7 2004.07.28 at 14:46:43 PDT

  • btw....I was using a Minolta S404 before and some of my earlier images are taken with that one. But I found myself in Photoshop alot trying to correct the grade of image... which is really nearly impossible to fix. It was also only 4.0 mgpx, so not a whole lot of options there! and no control...It was time to move up!! LOL :o)b

  • Hi Em, and greetings again from Kentucky. Such beauty you have captured here. Thanks so much for your wonderful comments in my guestbook of the old Log Cabins. Most of them were built in the 1830-1840 period. A few in the late 1700's, many photos taken in Indian, some in Ohio, and Kentucky. Any of the photos you may use. You have so many photos that are truly outstanding Em, in fact I am very pleased I came across your work. I will be back to look again until next time, May God Bless... Darrell

I brought back images to share, so please come by and see the fabulous digs that they have installed and filled with many wonders. (ps...there's kitties!!! LOL) enjoy! ~~ :o)b barbara.

  • Hi Em! This is a facinating album and you sure must be a regular early riser (a beautiful part of the day)! The mist gives these lovely scenes a special charm and you have made beautiful shots out of it. Even the old Ruins look stately in the mist. Well done! Thankyou for all your kind words and I am so pleased you are getting enjoyment from seeing my trip. Hope you can come to WA and explore these places too -- it was my first visit to the Pinnacles -- I loved them and wished I could have stayed longer. Sunset would be magical there.. Have a great day.. Gladys.

  • Hi Em, thank you so much for visiting my featured album, I do appreciate it alot! I really love this Misty album of yours, the cover photo is awesome! I'd like to have it on my wall. Very beautiful indeed. The Lantana flower is one of the most beautiful I've seen, I wonder if it's suitable for our climate, or does it need a lot of warmth and sunshine? Thanks for sharing, have a good Sunday! Take care, warm greetings, Salla, Finland

  • Hello Em - thanks for all your messages on my site and to you I have to congratulate on your 'misty' world down under...fog photos have always been a favorite to me, makes everything 'soft'. I was two months out of visiting your neck of the woods for an R&R back in 1969 while in Vietnam, but declined to finish up my service time. You go right ahead in painting what you'd like, as long as I can see it EITHER on your site or through an email, if you please. Added another 400 photos yesterday, some albums have more now than they did in previous days. Thank you kindly for your words. Ron

  • Hi Em. I KNOW I have looked in this album a couple of times before but can't for the life of me work out why I have never signed your guest book to let you know. You are very brave to be up and about so early, especially as this was taken this time last year and the mornings would have been COLLLLD!! Wonderful work and I have had a lot of pleasure from looking at your world, because over here we don't seem to get much in the way of mist. I wish we did because I would get a lot of pleasure out of taking photos like these of yours. While I'm here, very many thanks for your always so kind words on my latest offering of Moore River and Guilderton. I can't resist those ocean shots and dream of one day being able to capture a REALLY rough sea. I did manage this one day many years ago when we were at Trial Bay in NSW but nothing since then. Glad you are still with us - at least for a few more days. When will it be time to say our tearful farewells? Love and hugs, Peter

  • Hi Em and greetings from Kentucky. It has been awhile since I heard from you, I thought I would stop by. Nice misty pictures here Em. If I could write like you, I might have more people that would stop by. You have a wonderful way with words. Your photographs are just super. You know I get to see a lot of foggy mornings and it is something to see. Hope all is well there in your country. I have a friend in NZ and we sometimes play euchre or spades on the Internet. She was telling me that it was pretty hot there now. Here in Kentucky, we have snow on the ground and it has been cold with temperatures about 20 degress below normal. Well, hope you have a great New Year. Take care... Darrell
