This is a lovely album. Your lighthouses are so different from ours. I also have a lighthouse album and have been trying to get photos of as many as I can that are on the Island. This was very interesting to me to see the differences in style.

DeeAnne, You have very likeable albums, one can come back and take another look or ten and find something else different about all these nice albums!! You must take to water like I do, course living on the coast probably provides more than usual, this lighthouse album is gorgeous, as are your Navy ship albums. Gave four years to the Navy, two of which were on a ship, but nothing of the magnitude you're showing - these are large ships to me. Nice album here. Difference in East coast lighthouses over the West coast, yours have many colors, whereas ours are all painted white, we just have different sizes. Anyway, thank you for your time. I sailed the C&O carferries out of Ludington for 5 years after getting out of the Navy. Your "Around Muskegon" album was like a TRIP back home..!! Your images are beautiful...No wonder the album was featuered last year!...I would love to return to Michigan some day to photograph more lighthouses. At the time I visited Mackinac Island (in 2002), I wasn't as obsessed with lighthouses as I am now, so I visited only the ones that were on our route. These included Presque Isle, Holland Harbor, and one in Manistique. Since Michigan has more lighthouses than any other state, I know I'd have a great time finding and photographing them! I'm running out of new lighthouses to find and photograph here in the northeast!

Hi congratulations on this feature. Funny but it is only through webshots that I now know there are a lot of lighthouses in Michigan! Here in UK they are all around our coast but there is now a plan to switch a lot of them off because they say everyone uses sat nav now! Also enjoyed your hummingbird, flower & butterfly albums. Your pics are wonderful, I liked looking at all the pics of the light houses in Muskegon and Grand Haven. My husband is from Muskegon and I lived there with him for 5 years. I remember visiting the ships and the musical fountains, do you have any pics of that? We haven't been back to Muskegon in such a long time, we moved back to my hometown in Florida in 1993. I am sure it looks weird downtown without the mall there, we used to shop there a lot. My husband went to Grand Haven High and he worked at Sparton Engineered Products there in Grand Haven. Thank you so much for posting all those beautiful pics. If you have any old pics of Old Grand Haven Rd, could you post those? I used to work at Strevel's Liquor and Hardware store when it belonged to Roy Strevel. I can't wait till we can visit. Would love to get a pork barbeque sandwich from Whippi Dip, lol. Cricket

The New Orleans photos were taken on a spring break trip to N.O. I went back a year later to go on a cruise from N.O. The cruise pictures are also posted on my site.
