Hi Vera; I simply LOVE this album. You have done an outstanding job capturing these Panda and you Zoo must be well thought out and planned. How amazing that there would be two Pandas there. Maybe in the future, you will also have a baby Panda. Are both of those Pandas your Zoo's to keep, or are they on "loan?" Some Zoos will do that. Those Jaguar shots were just luck. It was my first adventure into digital photography. The jaguar enclosure was heavily foliated with very little light filtering through the tree canopy. It was a good thing that he was very still because they were ½ second exposures with a 450mm (equivalent) lens and if he had moved even slightly the image would have been blurred badly. The foliage certainly was. I took those shots because I was there, but not because I expected any of them to come out. Most of them didn’t. I told you – it was just luck! </font>

The big photo of the Panda on Webshots home page looks better than any I've seen. It really jumps out at you. All of these closeups are marvelous. I downloaded #2, but I enjoy visiting this album often to see what's new. By the way, I see where someone said that Pandas are not really bears. Well, I heard last year that the scientists have changed their minds about that. After studying them some more, they now say that Pandas are indeed Bears. (Which I believed all along.) Great photos. You really captured the affection the Pandas have for each other. That bodes well for the possibility of a new generation. I went through the album very slowly, because each picture made me feel warm and fuzzy. By the way, they are not bears. That's a bad habit of us to call them Panda Bears. They are marsupials and no relation to bears.

Hi Vera - truly a bear lover of all sorts, I have thoroughly enjoyed - and still am enjoying going through your albums. The additional varieties of subjects make your gallery particularly interesting and very special.
