Hi Arthur, I thank you for visiting my latest album and leaving your nice comments, but you had some statements about those liking their houses, etc., within my guest book on my latest album "A Matriarch in the Deep Woods", so with quite a few asking the reason why this tree was cut, I'll try to explain. I've changed my introduction a bit and this is how it reads now on my site: Born in 1493; Cut in 1989; Ring Count 496; Acres in cut: 40. Trees per acre at time of cut: 1,200. Seedlings planted after cut: 27,200. Bottom line: Sustained yield is what a forest can produce in perpetuity at a given intensity of forest management without impairing the land’s productivity. The huge fir was undoubtedly the 'mother' of all the rest of the 1,200 trees within this area, but it has now has been replaced with 27,200 seedlings. A 20 minute video was taken at the time, but it took a mere twelve minutes to put it on the ground. There was nothing wrong with the tree, it was just time to exchange it with more trees. With best regards. Ron/Oregon Coast

Super shots! Favourite would be 'Rain on the Way' for the both composition and fantastic colour.

hi Arthur! Sorry you missed the bus to the gallery. Did you make them smaller for Webshots? In that case send me those originals which you uploaded to Webshots. Their quality is very good. Uploading, downloading and uploading again does not improve the quality... So maybe this is a solution? Greetings Anna

Hi Arthur...This album is fantastic. I love the glass roof and the broken window and all of the photos of the church. They are really special and the shot with the white tulips is perfect. I love the floral path and the scenery and Scarborough Bluff. The flowers are beautiful too. And, the nuts is a wonderful photo. Thanks for sending this to me. I am not online too much lately. hugs, Barbara

What a great collection Arthur, I especially liked the church window shots, of course it is difficult to narrow it down to just one so I won't even try. It is nice to see you back at it ...don't take so long next time. Thanks so much for sharing....
