What an incredible collection of pictures. I used to collect mushrooms growing up, but I've never seen ones with the colors that you have captured. Wow! Haig/Phoenix

Hi Steve Excellent photos! Love all your albums. I got a Canon D10 in Feb. Wonderful camera. Which lenses do you use? I have the 17-40, the 28-135 IS and use an extenstion tube for more macro. I am looking to get a telephoto or zoom for wild life...any suggestions?? e-mail mail4mary@shaw.ca all the best, Mary

AWESOME SLIDESHOW!!!! Really outstanding photographs with excellent quality! A subject that normally is ignored or not captured often, but now has been discovered and beautifully presented! I am blown away by all the biazarre shapes and colours of this Fungi. Loved studying each and every one. Thanks so much for sharing this wide unknown, unappreciated at times world of the fungus. WOW! Very impressed, thanks! Wishing you all the best and have a super day! Cheers, amy :)

Greetings, Sir, congratulation on your mushroom and fungi albums. A number of colored I've never seen before and I do appreciate you adding the names of these small beauties to this account. Don't know how many I've already downloaded, but its in the neighborhood of ten or so. I was looking over the Misc. column and spotted your fungi, decided to take a look. Thanks for uploading these pictures. I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Visit my site when you have the time and do leave a note. Ron/Oregon Coast

Just for the sake of asking, where do you hail from? You'll find my address on my site if you'd like to shoot the breeze more than this site. I've found that I've downloaded many from your site. Hope this helps you along in your quest for more photographs. Thanks for your time. Ron/Oregon Coast

Your photos of mushrooms are truly spectacular. Even the background is wonderful. I guess you are from the Perth, Australia area? I have always been fascinated by mushrooms. Right now we live in the Nashville, Tennessee area, not the greatest for mushrooms since often the woods are too hot and dry. I love that with many you also put their Latin name and you certainly have some very spectacularly colored fungi in your area, like the purple coral mushroom, which I have seen here only in white (cream color). Thanks for providing so much enjoyment. Gisella

Hi Gisella, I live in Melbourne, not Perth, but the fungi are from all over southern Australia. Australia is hot and dry too, but there are damp areas and it does rain sometimes. Autumn is the best time to look. Steve

I love your fungi album! I started one, but we don't have the diversity that you are fortunate to have. I'm sooo green with envy!! Gotya!

Here on the south coast of Oregon, my husband and I often enjoy looking at unusual mushrooms while on our winter (Nov. - Apr.) hikes. I assure you we have never seen anything as dramatic as some of mushrooms and fungi shown in your albums. Thanks for opening our eyes to the diversity of nature in the world of mushrooms. -- Geraniumgirl from Coos Bay, Oregon

Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos of one of my favorite subjects - fungi. I live in Costa Rica where there is an abundance of natural beauty, but I doubt I could ever capture the beauty of your "Magic Mushrooms!" mthorman100, Linda Vista de San Vito, Costa Rica

Hi Steve, this is an amazing album I have enjoyed greatly. It's just turning to autumn here and so I am trying to find any species of fungi but I really don't think we have anything as colourful as the species you have here. I am also very impressed with the way you have captured your images because I have found it's not easy to get them especially if the light levels are low. I can see I have much to learn but enjoy a challenge. Thank you again for sharing I have something to aim for now. Take care Jill (uk)
