I wonder which zoo did you go to take photos of these animals. Particularly the black-backed jackel and thorold's deer. I also saw some of your hornbill pictures. They are awesome. Some species are not usually found in Zoos.

my apology: a few more words. Blackbacked jackal's back color is much darker then silverbacked. Compare your own pictures (pups)

academically you are correct: black-backed and silver-backed jackal are the same. But actually, blackbacked has sharp difference between dark-silvery back and orange belly (like someone put extra coat on its back). Silverbacked jackal does not have this sharp line, but its back's dark hair smoothly blinded with orange hair of its belly.
