Album Description:
Scenery and Nature

Hey Kinne0458… When I was a kid my parents used to take us to the lodge quite a bit. I had many great memories there. Learning to ski in front of the lodge & hoping not to fall in the colder part of the cove, fishing & swimming off of the docks for hours on end. The 4th of July’s when Cherry Bombs were legal! I remember eating at the little restaurant for breakfast and trout for dinner. I also remember Mr. Kinnie, your dad I guess? I remember the older couple that ran the place before your family did. One early spring weekend we were the only ones there and we went into town and bought chicken and some other stuff so she could cook us dinner in the restaurant. One time when the rodeo was in Camdenton Lassie stayed there & I had my picture taken in front of the lodge with her. Yes many good times…

Thanks for the memories. I grew up at Ha Ha Tonka - my family managed Ha Ha Tonka Lodge on the site 1963-1969 for the Snyder-Yost family, and I used to walk all those trails with my dog from our log cabin, which stood across from the Old Post Office, down to the lakefront where the 16-room lodge stood. After we moved to Georgia in 1969 the place was pretty much abandoned. Thanks!

I took a peek at this album after looking at your featured album. Congrats on both. I loved all the green in this one. I'm soooo tired of winter. Keep on clicking. Love judyglenn
