Hi Sharon, Believe it, or not...I didn't get the best of the wildflower pics in RNMP as they were at the top & there was no place to pull over! It was a narrow road & the park was doing road work. I wanted to cry! I saw masses of flowers in a variety of color combination that I have never seen before & there was no way for me to get to them! But...it's beginning to look like we may be relocating to the Denver area before the end of the year to help my brother-in-law with his business. God works in mysterious ways! Hello Sharon, congratulations on having another stunning feature today. I do like to see sculpture in a garden, seems to add a touch of class to the garden. The colours in your botanic garden are always so good, I might have to get off the plane there one day to view (did change planes once at St Louis but only 35 mins on ground!). Hello Sharon and greetings from the Bluegrass. Congratulations on this beautiful album. Most would not know I grew a lot of tobacco in days gone by. Thousands of pounds of burley. So when I seen the flowering tobacco, I never knew such a flower existed. I grew burley tobacco, the plant as it matures, it blooms in the top. But for the burley to spread and have big leaves, the top is broke out, that is called topping. Kentucky today does not raise near the tobacco it once did a few short years ago. The Indian taught the white settlers to grow tobacco. Now many of us that smoke, wish they could quit, many do after it is to late. You do beautiful work, and a pleasure to see. Have you been in Louisville lately? I was in Effingham Illinois the other day, I will put on a few photos sometime soon, of why I went there. Thanks for sharing and all the best to you... Darrell

Hi Sharon! I got a new Nikon D70 just before our Colorado trip. I still have much to learn, but as you can see with the hummingbird...it does a pretty good job! If only I had more time to practice! :-) As for Maroon Bells...unfortunately, we ran out of time! I still have many photos to upload, including one album from Rocky Mountain National Park, but family events are keeping me busy. I'll get back to the pictures next week! You really should contact the Missouri Botanical Gardens about representing them! I was contacted by Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens through Webshots & they may use some of my photos for a variety of purposes! Loved the 'magic lilies in the woodland garden'. I can almost smell their out-of-this-world scent. Takes me back to my childhood..in a swing under the pepper tree..smelling these lilies. So many diffrent flowers that's difficult to choose favorites!
