Hi Jane! This is still one of the most popular albums on Webshots. You always did put your special touch into each photo you took and it shows. Hope you will get some more trips in and share more photos soon. Thanks for the sweet message on our featured album today. Irma was wearing a tee-shirt with a butterfly on it, butterfly earrings, a butterfly ring, her watch had a butterfly photo inside the face, and I think her purse had butterflies on it. Dwight is still having a very hard time since he lost Irma, plus he had to give up Buffy, their dog, because Buffy missed Irma so much. I REALLY love your birdbath shots! So clever, and a great angle to shoot from. May I suggest that for your river shots and other landscapes you use a polarizer? It will not only cut glare on the water, it also enhances the greens because it cuts glare on the foliage, too. Great work, keep it up!

Lacking the adequate time for really appreciate all of them for now, though). I wanted to let you know about my impressions on your vast amount of photos depicting lovely outdoors scenery mostly. I like outdoors scenes a lot myself which makes me appreciate the more the way you capture the beauty of the fauna and flora in general, in this album as well as in several others (Birds and Bees, for example). I am particularly impressed in this album by Touching The Sky and Butte Creek Spawning Grounds. This photo is so compelling as it is a blend between reality and abstract. Jane, I'm glad you liked the Blood Moon album. That's the last total eclipse of the moon until March 2007. I'm sorry the weather didn't cooperate in your part of the country. I used a Nikon CP5700 for the photos. It's a digital zoom lens equivalent to 280mm. I especially liked Mountain Vista (#41) and Evergreen Reflections (#57) in your album. And you didn't have to manipulate the image in Photoshop. Richard

Jane, the new shot of Layers (#39) is striking. The flowers are almost hidden in the maze pattern. There's another total eclipse of the moon coming up! It's on October 28th. I don't know whether you'll be able watch it because some of the articles I've read indicate it won't be visible in the extreme northwest. Maybe we'll both luck out; the weather will cooperate and the moon will put on a show for those of us on both sides of the country. Richard

I always look for new once in your different albums. But this album is so much more that the usual. It gives the atmosphere of high summer time but the end of summer is almost there. In the last month I took pictures for an end of summer album by myself and now I look how different this time is in your region - - but somehow the atmosphere is the same.
