  • Hi Rob! Congratulations! Very beautiful damsel&dragonflies. My favourites are Ruddy Darter Dragonfly - Male and Gorsebos. As 99,95% of English people cannot write Dutch correctly and you do in your captions; my question is: are you Dutch? Greetings Anna Oldenhave, Holland

  • Hi, and congratulations on being featured. Those shots sure are nice of the dragonfly. I don't think we have any dragonflys here in Shetland, just ducks, puffins and Shetland ponies, lol. All the best, George

  • Nice Album you have here! I am very interested in doing some more insect work myself and I have some questions I would like to ask you (if you would please mail your reply to: jamcgraw@hotmail.com). I do allot of garden photography but I have always found it difficult to photography insects. Your shots look like they were all taken while you were in the field. Is that accurate or are you collecting the insects (in this case dragon fly's) and then setting up your shots (I have heard this is what the pro's do for the most part to keep from wasting to much time)? If so I would love some tips. Otherwise how do you manage to get the insects in such great poses. They always fly away when I go up to shoot them or are moving around to quickly. Are you spraying them with some thing? Also what equipement are you using (lens, diopter, flash setup - most shots look like natural light but you never know)? I need to get into gear with bugs and I think you are the man to talk to. Thanks again, J.A.McGraw
