Hello Galit, I'm honoured to be the first to sign this guestbook! Your photos of the Powder puff tree are so beautiful! I've never seen a tree of this kind. I love it! Wonderful pictures. I hope you've already received rain, or soon will. I can imagine the thrill and happiness you feel when the rain finally comes. Thank you very much for your visit in my guestbook the other day, Galit, I do appreciate it alot. It's possible to send you the recipes of the bakery, if you like. How will we do that? By email? I'm glad you liked the album. I wish you and your family all the best, Salla, Finland

Hi Galit! These photos are fantastic! I saw these growing when I visited Queensland, but can't remember what they called them. Just looked in my book of Rainforest Plants and seems it is an Archidendron. Archidendron grandiflorum is also known as Lace Flower and Fairy Paint Brushes, but I like your name of Powder Puff Tree better. It seems that many of the same trees grow in Israel and Australia. Thanks for sharing these beautiful shots... Gladys.

Hi Galit! Thankyou for the lovely Rose and I will think of you when I look at it on my desktop. Thanks also for all your information, yes, you are right, the one I am thinking of is a mimosacea. I have since done a Google Search and found Powder Puff Trees (but your images are far better)!! Look forward to seeing your new additions. Interesting to learn that you have Koalas in Israel too. Thanks for sharing you lovely photos.. Gladys.

Hello there Galit. Another fine album of yours. What a fabulous flowering exotic tree it is. We have nothing that remotely resembles it here in England, as you can well imagine. Excellent photography as always and such fantastic colours. Will this be the next feature? By the way, I have added my Liverpool album. When you have the time to view it, you will see the gates to the "Strawberry Fields Children's Home". Have a great week-end dear webshot friend. Kindest regards, Jayne, West Midlands, UK. :) xx

Galit-not only do you have mimosa trees, the one you call powder puff trees, but you also have ants. Pesky little creatures. I'll be there isn't a country that doesn't have ants. Your close-ups are beautiful, so downloaded one of them already. Catch you later. Ron/Oregon Coast

Hi Galit! Love your new additions, they are beautiful images of magnificent flowers and wonderful close-ups! Thankyou for sharing, and thankyou also for your kind message while I was away visiting my daughter. Now I have lots of Webshots to catch up on, but also busy with a lot of other things too. HI Galit!! Seems some catching up to do as the past month just way busy with other things...and was thrilled to find this album on here. Beautiful!! You wouldn't believe it..I was walking this morning and yes...I took some of the very same plant...and they turned out quite nice...and laughed ..we have one nearly the same...with the tree and blue sky from a distance. I was excited as there were Mountain Parrots busily feeding..and my darn batteries kept dying..snapped one quickly and nearly missed them..then the memory card was full!! I gave up..Your album is such a delight and I absolutely loved your closeups with the ants. Beautiful photos. My little Kodak my son gave me for my birthday...won't handle that close...but it still takes not too bad photos. Stunning album of Powder Puffs and was trying to remember their name this morning so tks for the info and ready Gladys' contribution too. Trust that you had a wonderful Xmas and a great New Year and that all is going fabulous in your life. Have a really great day....take care and big tree hugs from Em..There is a photo of this great tree in my new album...and it looks like it has feet...as I knew how we both love trees......cya

Is your Powder Puff Tree a Formosa Tree? Looks like one we had in our yard back in the 70's. Beautiful in bloom but a true mess when all those blooms fall on the lawn. Beautiful album no matter what it's called. Lorrie

I love this tree. Wish it would grow up in NY! Too cold of winters for it to survive. Great album. Gin the artist

Hello Galit, Thank you for your beautiful photos. I have a powder puff tree which I inherited from my parents and now I am in trouble. It had some growth problems because a vine had grown on its trunk and killed off part of the tree. The remaining part and a smaller adjacent one the trunk of which is about 1 inch diameter, was growing well. Then about a week ago a help (not a gardener) took out dead branches of the non-growing part by sawing them off as the pruning scissors I had was not good for that size. About three days ago I noted the whole tree seems to be not growing -- leaves are drooping and a number have yellowed and fallen off even when the sun has come out (about 5 -6 days of rain previously). I think it may be due to having been shaken when the pruning was done, and the roots may have been disturbed. Can you give me any suggestions? I'd appreciate your comment to eavtianco@yahoo.com Thanks, Beth
