Hello Carolyn, The pumpkins say alot about the time of year, even NM has pumpkins and gun-toting cowhands, so it looks like standing in a doorway and 'road kill', interesting place, New Mexico. Noticed you've taken a drive up to Monument Valley too. I took in the area back in the early 1970's, do like the red rock. Thank you for your nice comments in my featured album on Sunday-last. It was a pleasure to shoot and gather information about the Park. Been trying to catch up with my thank you notes for three days now and can't see the end yet, but wanted to cover your write-up before it got too old. Thanks again for your visit at my site. Having been to Santa Fe several times in the winter and spring I really hadn't considered it from the aspect of fall colors and produce. You have filled in that gap in my perception of the area. Hi Carolyn, Thanks for visiting My Favorite album. You inquired about where the lodge was in the picture of me, mom, dad and stan. It is just out of Moab, Utah. Just about 1 mile north of Moab, take a right on Hwy 128. Go 18 miles east to Red Cliff Lodge, which is on the left. It is a 100 year old working ranch setting beside the Colorado River. There website is: www.redclifflodge.com. It was one of the most beautiful and relaxing places we could have ever taken Mom and Dad. It has a winery and a Movie musuem. When you get there you will remember a lot of movies that were shot from there. A lot of John Wayne, Herny Ford and City Slicker, so of Therma and Louise was shot near there. Be sure to see Dead Horse Point. I hope this has been helpful. It is well worth the trip. Caroline Louisiana USA.

beautiful album. i love the way all the aspens turn gold in the fall. driving up to hyde park during the fall was always a favorite thing to do. if you reside in santa fe and haven't been to 10,000 waves yet you should go. it's a japanese bath house/hot tubs on the way to the ski basin. all the tubs are outside and you can sit and relax under the sky or stars at night. i worked there 25 years ago helping build the place and then after it opened. sitting in the hot tub while it was lightly snowing was awesome. i sure do miss santa fe. take care. george-
