A beautiful and very colourful album with a real autumn spirit, Candi. The orange maple leaves (8) are gorgeous as are the sunny pumpkins (10). Nr. 33 makes a great picture that way, very original. Most leaves are still green here in the southern Michigan but we are 2 days from the average 1st frost date so you must be getting some cold nights in northern Michigan even if you have not had frost yet. Love this new album!! Your "sign of havest time" could be a cover for a Hallmark Card! Yes, the mystery plant is called "Chinese Lanterns" and we planted some in our backyard. They soon took over the whole space and we had to dig them out! They dry nicely for floral arrangements too.

Hello Candi, Marvelous Autumn pictures and I especially like the Jack-O-Lantern Photos, you've gotten two winners from a tough lighting situation. Your mystery plant is of the genus Physalis and there are similar looking species with the common names of ground cherry and chinese lantern. Inside the dry husk is a small tomato looking fruit. City dwellers plant them as attractive flowering plants and most farmers treat them as invasive weeds because them grow easily and spread rapidly. OK, I'll stop the botany talk.
