  • I love the photos of Cheesden and Ramsbottom, my gran used to live at 1574 Edenfield Rd (Cheesden Terrace) opposite Cheesden Lumb Mill. As kids we stayed with her often and have many happy memories. If you get the chance to take more photos of the area I would be thrilled.   • This page was really memorable for me - I was born in Altrincham and now live in Australia. The picture of Altrincham is of Old Market Place - a very historical area where the knights rode through to bring the Charter to Altrincham.

  • Congratulations on your Featured Album as you ahve an "eye" for beauty which is a gift from God...Is this in the Northwest section of England around Blackpool ? My Great Grandparents (Smetherst) came from that part in the late 1890's to America.. God Bless from Texas....Ken
