  • Dear Joce, I would like your permission to publish some of your Huascaran images in a weather article planned for publication in Weatherwise magazine. Your photos are the best! I am not getting paid for the article as it is scientific in nature. Please email me at robert.leffler@noaa.gov ASAP. I would also be happy to call you to discuss the situation if you agree to let me use your beautiful photographs. I will need a phone number. Thanks for your consideration. Sincerely, Robert Leffler P.S. I was born in Lima, Peru.

  • The Peru pictures were taken during a vacation trip from Aug.9 to Sep.3, 2001. The idea was to do the Inca Trail for acclimatization in order to do Huascaran. Picso was climbed for acclimatization. It took 3 days to ascend Pisco and 6 for Huascaran. Pisco was climbed in a whiteout but Huascaran was clear every day.
