Hi Candi - before going any further I must admit to owing you an apology for taking so long in thanking you for the lovely entry in my feature GB last month. This album is exquisite and gives one a wonderful picture of the festive season. We, unfortunately, do not have the beauty of snow and in December when it is the height of our summer, our Christmas lunch is out in the garden...LOL! There is nothing to beat the spectacular images of snow - something that drew me to this album and had me realising how amazingly talented you are behind the camera lens/es! Dear Candi, I too love to take macro shots I always love the challenge of setting up the shot up and getting the settings on the camera just right. I really love this selection of winter macros especially the frost pattern ones especially number 4 Quite amazing to catch the snow flakes like that. Hi Candi. Great album of winter macros. You know how to pick your subjects. Has it been over a year since it was featured. I have enjoyed your photos just as much the second time around. Hello Candi, More nice additions to the album. I particularly like the Snowy branch in Woods, both Cat Tail pictures, Ice over brick, and Snow on Grate, and especially the color and clarity of the Cat Tails and the Bricks. A suggestion; try a little more contrast in the Snow on Twig in Black & White and see if you like it. I think the contrast would add more impact to the photograph. Keep up the good work. I have always hoped to make such pictures, but Frost didnot succeed in doing so well at my windows, unfortunately. Hello Candi, I just looked at Page 4 of the album, more nice additions since I looked in last time. I particularly like the Snow on Rust picture, really nice patterns. The Rusted "thing" looks like a pulley wheel from a flat belt driving system. There may be proper terms for a flat belt system that I do not know and it may not be from such a system but if the wheel is about 6 inches wide, flat on the outside surface, and would fit securely on a shaft through the center hole then it could be from a flat belt system. Flat belts were used in factories with overhead shafts to power machines as well as stationary engines and earlier tractors. It looks like an old item so you may have to find an old person in the area who might have the answer but I think my idea is feasible. Other pictures I particularly like are the Weeds Amid Snow and the Snow Amid Rocks. We got a good snowfall today and since it came from the north it may have visited you first. If it did then you must be at least knee deep, or more, in snow now so I hope you are keeping warm but getting around outside easily. It must be tough on Bug though. Hello Candi, Thanks for answering my question but that much I did know. My Sony Cybershot camera comes with a micro setting and I have used it on photos in my flowers album. But someone suggested I should get a Micro lens because you can do special effects with it. Said my photos would be a even better. Do you know if this an additional lens or filter they where talking about that I need to work with the already Micro setting installed on my Camera? Really I was happy with the way my close up on my flowers turned out, but always open to improvement suggestions since I am far from being a Pro.. Love my digital, but still learning since I only got it last year. Now to visit another of your albums. Take care Laura

I find that one so interesting. How big is that rusted object? I also loved "Snow on the Cedar branch". What a clever album. The cup cakes looked good enough to eat. The images were crisp and clean and well done.
