Album Description:
It has been the second driest winter in many years and this was the scene after much needed rain. One of those early morning walks where you find perfect light, long shadows and so many images you had not expected to find just waiting to be taken.

Hi Poppy. I've just come across your beautiful photos of our Land. Dorothea Mackellar was right - it is a "sunburnt Country - with sweeping plains". We've had a dry Summer, and an unusual wet winter, west of Mackay, Qld.Au. It's much colder out here, than in Mackay - 6.9 degrees C at 9am in my bathroom today! I'm acclimatized to a little more warmth than that! However, the rain has saved the gardens. We established new gardens when we first came out here in Sep. 2006, and it was a real struggle to keep them alive in the drought. Now, with cooler weather, and rain, I've only lost some Crotons. Hope they regenerate come Summer. Sorry to ramble, but it's so lovely to come across someone from my part of the World. Congrats on your wonderful photos - they have brought back memories of holidays out bush. Margaret Qld.Au.

Hi Poppy! You certainly chose the perfect time for your morning walk -- those Creek Reflections are wonderful and I am sure it would be so difficult to stop taking more and more pictures. I really enjoyed all these wonderful captures and I hope you can have many more delightful walks among the perfect conditions. We have also had a very dry start to winter and eventually the rain came yesterday, hopefully more is on the way.. Thankyou for your lovely message about my new album of Autumn. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hi Susan, Thanks for your lovely message which led me to wander through this simply stunning album of Reflections. It is indeed the Australia that we love and your work is a wonderful compliment of this beauty. Your captures are individually beautiful and very moving and tks heaps for sharing this delight from the South. My Ancestors settled in Tumby Bay in the early 1800's so I hope to venture that way in the near future. Once again, tks for sharing and have a really great day..Kindest regards..Em from Aussie

Hi Love, Well done. I greatly admire the varied themes contained within your albums. I to enjoy taking photographs and share my knowledge and images with others for their possible appreciation via Webshots. As I am a Cellardoor manager at my sisters winery in the Barossa Valley, there never seems to be enough time for the things I enjoy personally. I will take the time during the coming week to explore your albums more thoroughly. King regards and best wishes from Dave

Hi Susan, I love reflective shots like this, it is seldom that the conditions are right here though, the blue sky and not a breath of wind makes the photo's. you are right about the blue/green of your gum trees, we have so many shades of gree everywhere you look, You are quiet correct as well the Dales all have Dry Stone Walls, that is something I noticed last week, in Wales hedges to keep the sheep in. Thanks for you lovely comments they are very much appreciated, do take care and God bless Ken
