Bill, Thank you for making available on the web your pictures from your 2001 Mt. Whitney 5 day backpack trip from the west. I am leading 7 other backpackers from the Northern Virgina Hiking Club (near Washington D.C.)on this same route in September 2002. I've backpacked Sequoia NP before in 2001 so I am familiar with the type of terrain in this area. Your pictures were still nonetheless very helpful in becoming visually familiar with the major landmarks (Long Lake, New Army Pass, Upper Rock Creek, Guyot Flat etc.) along this route. I look forward to seeing other pictures of your trips in the Sierras. Doug
