  • Lynn - Pretty cool place you found. I am still amazed by all the wildflowers CA has. Clearly the state made a concerted effort to plant & maintain the wild areas. You are very lucky to live there ! Thanks for sharing your lovely work ! - Pat on the SE coast

  • Hi Lynn, WOW!!!! This really is wildflowers gone wild. Amazing and beautiful and you did a fantastic job of capturing the light and color. It sure puts a different perspective on what we think of as the "desert&quot ;. We are still waiting on our flowers here in my part of the country. We did finally have some sunshine this week, so I got out to two of my favorite neighborhoods to try and find some color. If you get a chance, check out my Kirkwood and Kimmswick albums. Take care. Peace and Love. Donna

  • Hello Lynn, What a fantastic album. You really did find a wonderful place on this trip. I loved all of the images in this album. Number 58 has incredible depth of field. If there is any justice in the way they choose the featured albums...this one is sure to be featured in the next few days. Outstanding photography. The play on light and shadows created by the mountains is breathtaking. And those close ups of the white wildflowers were awesome. I could see some of the clouds that were bringing the rain in some of the photos. I have been saddend to see that California is being overwhelmed with too much rain this past week. I am thrilled you got to this area when you did. Thank you for the trip. It was wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of it! Susie, segseven, OKLAHOMA

  • Hi Lynn, Just wondering if you all are okay? I saw a huge sink hole on the news this morning right in the middle of a highway somewhere in southern California. I can't believe the rain you all have had this winter. The floods and mudslides and watching all of those homes just slide off the hillsides is heartbreaking. Anyway, I hope you are doing okay and it's not too wet for you to get out and get more great photos. Take care. God Bless. Donna/Missouri

  • Lynn - Thanks again for sharing your beautiful West Coast with your East Coast friends ! I like the early morning shots where the dew looks like frost - I am assuming it was dew and not frost or the flowers would have not been very happy ! - Love & Hugs, Pat

  • WOW !!! These are real winners. We went there 10 days later than you, and it was a washout. By the way, do you think Carrizo and Shell ck. would be worth the drive still ? That is if we can find it, never been there. Appreciate your help and info. Your albums just scream to be featured. Jan

  • Hi Lynn! What beautiful desert photos. We heard here in the Midwest just how beautiful it was out there this year and I can see what we missed. You will absolutely adore Maroon Bells on your trip to Colorado!! Wish I could see it during every season! :-) Thanks for visiting my new Spring album from MBG; Bob and I get lots of exercise when we walk around that place trying to find something different to photograph, but other than different flowers and different color variations of the same flowers each year, we've about run out of new things to photograph. :-)) Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

  • Thanks so much for sharing your photos with my mom and myself. She took many trips to Anza Borrego earlier in her life, and many photos like yours. But at 85, she can't travel there, and her low vision makes seeing her photos too difficult. I was able to show her yours, enlarged digitally, and she was so touched to see "her friends" (the flowers) again. You made a difference today. Thanks. ~Jeannie

  • Lynn: We went in Dec. 2005 (only free time other than summer) and there weren't any flowers (see bcharpen for my AB pics). I love the spring flowers (too hot for me in the summer I'm sure). Great shots. I'm thinking of getting either a Nikon D50 or 70. Any thoughts on the benefits of one over the other? Nancy P.S. All the bcharpen sites are mine and there are lots of SB pictures (clouds, flowers, etc.)

  • What an astounding album! That was a banner year for flowers, and I remember it well. Hoping this next month brings a little more rain so we have a repeat of this kind of show. We visit A-B over and over, in all seasons, and love it. I saved your album for repeated viewing, it's so good! thanks.
