California Wildflowers

Hi Nev! It is an honour to be the first to sign, and it was a real pleasure to view this colourful album. Your Wildflowers are really stunning and the photos excellent. The Hillside Carpet is awesome, and thankyou for showing me the fully-opened Joshua Tree Flower. They really intrigue me. Unfortunately, #7 & #12 won't open at present, but I have noticed other people have blank squares in their albums too. Will try again later. Thankyou for sharing these magnificent flowers... Gladys.

Hi Nev, I made an inpromptu trip out to AV yesterday...didn't have my cell phone with me, so I couldn't call! It's beautiful out there!! Had good luck on L & 90th W with the sheep grazing, on M betweern 90th & 110th and in the hills outside the preserve, including 170th W. I missed a lot of the beautiful flowers that you have here in this album. I was looking for lupine, but only found the pygmy version. Maybe next time! I know the show is just beginning, so I'll keep checking here for the progress! God bless, Lynn

These are BEAUTIFUl!! Sure wish I was still in Cali to see this! Haven't been on webshots a lot lately, just changed ships again since the La Salle is being decommed back in VA. I'm now on the USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20) Its not too bad I suppose. We've been out all month and I can't wait to get back to Italy! How are things out west? The rain's really made a difference this year huh? I particularly like #'s 1 & 14 where you got down 'flower level'. Beautifully photographed and put together album. HI, Nev: I love california yellow poppies that grows also in my country. They are a soft velvet and enjoy the landscape in California and Chile too. The weather are similar: dry and sunny. Into webshots I have a dear friend, Ruggero (tfrarug) who have the most wonderful album with red poppies and always I show him the beauty of these yellow poppies.
