  • Hello Kaethi and Henri, This spring album as lovely as it is take me back to earlier this year when every bud of ever flower tree or shrub I wanted to take a picture of, it was when I started on Webshots, I wonder what pictures I will be taking next spring. A beautiful album of Spring, you always convey the essence of whatever your subject is in such a glorious ways. From good people like you I am inspired to try different things, I was as you already know so impressed with your last featured album that I decided to try and insect album myself, my clumsy efforts I placed last night, and thank you for your very kind words of encouragement. I was so thrilled with the capture of the Damselflies mating, and so afraid that they would be out of focus. thankfully they were not bad. Jill Batchelor has a spendid album much the same as mine but I think that you have seen that one. Thanks again for your kind words of encouragement and God Bless the pair of you Have a pleasant weekend Ken and Carolynn. PS I will still look at your daughters albums and tell her she has no need to reply. K

  • Hi Kaethi, You have such pretty flowers around you, and they make such a great album. The crocus is such a pretty plant and I don't have any of them. I should plant a few. We had frost here the last two mornings so I had to cover a few of my tender plants. Thank you for the sweet comments on my new album. I had gone to a garden and feed center yesterday. The only thing they could suggest for getting rid of the mole without killing it is a small trap, which they were out of. But the bait would have to be a grug, and where do you get them, except dig for it. The other suggestion was to treat my lawn for grugs, since that's what they are there for. So far, the mole is still with us. Vicky

  • Hello Henri and Kathi, I have been visiting my favorite list to day and noticed these wonderful spring additions. I had to pick a few of them for my computer wallpaper. I will we going back to Yellowstone at the end of May and hope to take some pictures that are not common. My primary interest is of course the bears. I hope to find some newborn bear cubs and visit with the two year old bear cubs we found last year. I wish I had met you while you were still coming to the US. I think we would have had a wonderful time together seeing the sights off the beaten path. Your friends Norm & Cindy

  • Hi Kaethi and Henri! Thanks for the guestbook message. I didn't realize that you don't have dogwood trees over there!! This has been a wonderful spring for the dogwoods and most flowering trees here in Missouri. We didn't get that hard freeze this spring about the time they were getting ready to bloom. Your flowers are always so beautiful. I love your crocus shots at the end of the album. I try to grow them and they're always so tiny and don't do good at all. I think I'll just let MBG do all the gardening for me now!!! :-))) We're heading over to Columbia today; hope you had a wonderful day! Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

  • Hello, Henri and Kaethi, Thank you so much for visiting my Veterans Memorial albums and your wonderful comment. This is indeed a wonderful album. The flowers are all so beautiful and colorful. We will not see that for more than a month yet, even though we are having an unusually warm April. You are so gifted at taking photos. I have a lot to learn from you. Love to you both Sharon

  • Thanks, Henri and Kaethi, for your kind entry in my Guest Book "Return to Cypress Gardens" - I appreciated your comments. I knew of you through Kathy and her her guest books - but this was my first opportunity to look up, sample and admire the wealth of your albums (and I did not even get to your second user name!) We seem to have similar interests - nature, travel, and even rocks. When I have a little more time, I will be sure to return and run some slide shows, Just wanted to reply promptly. • Hi Henri and Käthi thank you for your comments about my mountain meadows. The pictures of the flowers were about 7,500 feet above sea level, I live at 5,000 feet above sea leavel. It is not uncommon for it to snow and hail in July, but the snow does not stay on the ground for long. I had a wonderful weekend in Wyoming (Yellowstone) with my camera. I will post the pictures after I have written my webshot friends. If I had to pick a favorite it would be your Narcisses 2, I have to addmit that I don’t know much about flowers. Your friend Norm

Bien amicalement, Luz

  • Hello Henri and Käthi, I am so sorry to hear that Henri has been in the hospital, Käthi. I hope he is getting better now? It’s a strange sight such a great palm tree covered with snow. But the Blue and Rose hyacinth (Nr. 57) came out beautifully without any harm done by it. I also like nr. 34 “Early leaves of Creeper” very much. Thank so much for all your reactions on many of my albums. I am always glad to hear from you two. Hugs, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Bonjour Henri and Kathi, I dropped by to pick a few flowers from your albums. Your photos are always colourful and inviting to add to my computer bouquet. It will be a while before I can see our flowers as the tulips and crocus are only about 7 cm. out of the ground. Thank you for your guestbook entry in my Arizona album. Arizona is a wonderful and exciting state to visit. Roger from Canada

  • Hi Henri and Kaethi... You two already have so many beautiful flowers blooming over there. Sharon and I can't wait until we have beautiful spring scenery again. Sharon's daffodils and tulips are starting to come up out of the ground, but that's it. It's in the 60's and we've had a lot of rain, so maybe spring won't be far behind. Thanks so much for putting my birthdate under that brilliant rose. The brighter the colors of flowers, the better I like them. I'm not much for pastels. I'm glad to hear that Henri is doing better and look forward to more photos from you two. Have a great weekend. Bob

  • Love those Spring flowers! My favorite has always been the Hyacinth, but it's going to be a while before we get any here! I did notice that my Weeping Cherry Tree, that we planted last Summer has tiny buds on it, so it made it through the Winter! I can't wait for those pretty little flowers start to open! Very pertty additions! Vicky from Pa.

  • Hello dear Henri and Käthi. I truly hope Henri is feeling better now. Isn't it amazing what a dramatic change can occur in just two days?!!! While the clean snow adds its own beauty to the earth, I much prefer the beautiful colors of the flowers. The camelias are gorgeous, both the red and pink. Stay well you two. Love, Nancy

  • Hi Käthi and Henri! I just had to get a peek at those spring flowers again. They're so beautiful. We are all getting very eager for spring to come alive around here! :-))) Thanks so much for your sweet guestbook comments on the Orchid album. We have lots more pics, but I finally just had to choose some. Bob and I love to snap away and we just love to get out and go, so we get carried away with the number of pics we take. Talk to you later!!! Lots of hugs! Sharon

  • Hi Kaethi and Henri, Thank you for the nice comments on my album, Francis E. Walter Dam. When Spring finally shows up here, I'll go back to the dam and get more pics to add to the album. Right now, there isn't very much water in the dam, and it's frozen over, so it needs to fill up some. I was out yesterday, chasing ducks and geese around to get some pics for my album, Simply Ducky! It was worth the chase, the pics came out nice. This album is so pretty! We're having 3 to 5 inches of snow today, and there is no color outside except white, so I don't get to see any color for some time yet! I loved the variety of flowers and all those beautiful colors are so pretty! I can't wait until Spring so I can watch my flowers pop their heads up through the snow! Great album! Thanks again! Vicky from Pa.

If I could figure out a way to do it, I would be more than happy to send you some icicles, and it would be great if you could send your warmth! I like the view in the middle of the palm leaf, and the beautiful Helleborus orientalis give me hope of the Spring to come. Thanks for warming my heart!! --Nancy

  • Hi Thank you very much for your nice comments in my guestbook for my featured album yesterday. About Winnie he is not my cat he belongs to my brother and his family. There is a funny story about his name. Winnie is his nickname his real name is Winston Chruchill. First my brother wanted to give him the name Josef Stalin. My brothers wife is from Russia and she didn't like the idea standing in the garden shouting for Stalin when she wanted the cat to come into the house. So then he got the name Winston Chrchill instead. You have a lot beautiful photos in this album. Your garden must be a very wunderful place especially in the springtime. I will come back soon for more comments in some of your other albums. Eva-Britt

  • What an amazing garden you have. So many gorgeous flowers. Here is a little "myth" I made up and put in another album for flowers --- Flowers are the paints of the gods--one day Zeus sneezed--and all the flowers fell to earth in a cachophany of rainbow colors--and that is why humans are alergic to the most lovely delicate gentle things that paint the earth -- and all the other gods laughted and said "this is a wonderful thing we have done --to paint the earth with flowers -- but we will never tell man of our deed " Or something like that --(smiles) it sort of came to me one night because that is how "myths" start right? (oh I don't believe in Greek Gods just have a really vivid imagination and your beautiful album sets it ablaze ) ShyGirl :-)
