Album Description:

Water is ever changing, always taking new shapes. Back when I was doing a commissioned sailboat painting in Santa Barbara I found a way of using iridescent acrylics to create the illusion of movement in the water. Movement is the hardest quality of water

  • Dear David: My name is Maida Withers. I am creating a multimedia performance work, Fare Well - The End of The World As We Know It OR Dancing Your Way to Paradise! The set features a white canvas floor and a white backdrop to receive projected images of nature, fire, etc. I will use some still shots coupled with video. Would you, by any chance, approve our using any of your photos? Would you by any chace have any video shots of water? I am a professor at The George Washington University and I do these large projects on social and political issues with professional associates. Thank you for posting your beautiful photos. Best regards, Maida Withers http://www.maidadance.com

  • Hi David. Your work is more than spectacular. You certainly have the gift in producing REAL Master of Art creations and have a phenomenal talent in all your fields of artwork. I was particularly taken by your digital fractals when going through the top downloads and viewings but unfortunately am presently not on my own computer so am going to have to keep those for an extended rainy day so I can ogle over and over again. Not having gone through your albums it is very probably you may have already done this but in noticing you are a poet as well, I wondered if you have considered an album of your digital art into which your poetry is inserted. A truly remarkable artist in every sense. It is quite an honour to have your work available for viewing and to be a part of a site in which you are involved. I cannot believe that given your incredible output, you are not a constant top of the list in way of downloads and viewings as your work certainly warrants this. Thank you for giving us the wonderful pleasures of viewing your work. Sue, South Africa

  • This album is a peaceful relaxing journey into a liquid dream, swept by the cool calm of a tender trickle! I was going to start listing my fav.s til there were so many it was hard to remember all of them as I floated from photo to photo. Love this presentation, perfect subject to capture. Warm thanks and happy blessings, amy

  • Hi David, your water album is well constructed. I've been working on a water album for a while now, and am fascinated to see how we have taken similar photos. Nice work, and great artistry. Best wishes from Keith in Sydney.

  • Delightful water studies and comments. Are you an artist in words as well as photography? Water, just water....

  • Very beautiful water study in this album. Great result in your photos both to light and transparency of the subject. Skyscape at large has awesome colours. In Italy we say "Rosso di sera: bel tempo si spera; rosso al mattino: il temporale è vicino", that is "Red at evening: we hope fine weather; red at dawn: the storm is approaching". May be guess where is in SF? Thank you! Ale :-) from Italy
