And the message was cut short, and continues... I love the old castles and abbeys - especially the ruined ones. Hope your week is good and that you get some sunshine! Happy snapping! Best wishes, Mandy (UK)

Hi Rod and thanks for visiting my swans and for your very kind comments. Lucky you getting a week in Cornwall! I am determined to get down there sometime this summer. We're off to Richmond tomorrow and no doubt it will pour but there'll be gaps in between showers, I'm sure! I like the castles in this album - particularly Urquhart and St Michael's Mount.

Hello Rod. Thank you so very much for taking the time to comment on my Warwick Castle feature. Sorry it's taken me a while to get here. I really appreciated hearing from you and I am pleased to make your acquaintance. You have now given me the opportunity to compliment you on your photographic skills. This is a superb album from start to finish. There is quality in every shot. Kind regards, Jayne/West Midlands, UK :) xx

Dear Rod, I know I have looked at this album before and was surprised that I had never commented. Of course I now recognise many of these views including Urquhart Castle which is a wonderful place to visit and we do so in our second week. Thank you for your GB entry in an album I had meant to keep private until I had made more additions that proove that blue sky can make all the difference to a picture. I will do so when our main computer returns from intensive care :-/ Once again though you pictures are fantastic and it was seeing these that made us realise the places we could visit when on Holiday. Take care now Jill

Hi Rod. As expected you have some great shots in here. I like everything, the castles, the bays, the rivers, the boats, the old style houses and buildings and that countryside scenery is the best. Thanks for sharing mate. Catch you later Al...

To: chrisrod100 I am enjoying your pics of Scotland. In particular the pic "Highland Croft" caught my attention. It reminded me of what my Grandparents croft may have looked like.Their croft was called "Drywells&qu ot; and was located in the parish of Botriphnie,Banffshire. Ray New Zealand

Hi Rod and thank you kindly for your lovely words in my Artwork! For the first time in my life...I am coming into my own...and loving with a passion my reconnection with my Art! My passion is for the peoples and creatures and nature of this beautiful world. Looking at this stunning album, soo reminds me that no matter which way we look...there is something to just hold ones' breath over. We are all blessed and the tragedy of the Tsunami Waves that devasted the lives and shores of many...really has to make us all appreciate the beauty and life that we have. In these moments...we all unite and reach out. Your photos are a beautiful capture...and I soo love the history of your lands, that were also my ancestors lands...so my affinity with it..is deep seeded!! My heritage is through the Haldane Clan...so maybe we had realatives that were mates way back hey....Never know...Thanks for sharing this beauty of your beautiful lands....and have a really Blessed New Year.....Take care...Em from Aussie

Hi Rod! Thanks for your comments on my albums recently. Yes i still using the Nikon 995 and i love it! Proud to see your thinking to visit Canada just by looking at my pics and i think the same thing when i look at yours too. The castles and the landscape are so gorgeous in Scotland and i don't all the history of your country but the things i know make me dreaming about to get around in this country. Have a nice day, Mike (Michel in french)

Rod...I took another look at this album because you made additions to it. It is so beautiful. I can't find the words to describe some pictures...Urquhart Castle, the swans, so many of them..everything is just wonderful. I think my favourite is something that I like in all photos, and that is the view of a far off scene, in this case, looking towards Exeter, Devon. I love that one the most. Thank you for the kind comments in my albums.,warmest regards, Barbara

Hi Rod, The run over the hills from Tomitioul to Nairn is a favourite of mine very scenic and is further rewarded by the fantastic and quiet beach at Nairn as discribed and shown in your pic. Fills the heart with joy. A very beautiful and interesting album. I have put a name to the ducks (Crested Ducks)you asked about but still left the caption. LOL. I was also fasinated with them, thought they were gorgeous and took a lot of pics. My Kindest Regards./Elaine.

The photographs that stand out for me in this album are Urquhart Castle, I must try and persuade Doug to take me up there soon, The Folly Pool on River Dart, great reflections, and the rose is just perfect, you have captured the beautiful deep colour and the droplets of water just add to the beauty. I love the shot of Loch Imrich. Many a time I wandered around there when I should have been in school! I vividly remember one morning especially, coming upon the most colourful Mallard just sitting by the side of the loch. Good job Roddy

Rod...Again St Michaels Mount Cornwall & Urquhart Castle stand out above all the rest, which are very good in their own way...This 7th album is just as good as #8 & I've made my comments on it already.. In all eight of your albums...each one is deserving of being a Featured Album because they are all so awesome...Thank you again for the invite to view #8 as well as the others...Very impressive & I give them all a Thumbs Up # 10...God Bless from Texas....Ken

On our vacation to Scotland we didn't make it as far north as Loch Ness as it was so cold...and that was July. I am a Scot myself but a few years in Ohio has got me used to a milder climate...
