    • Hello Eti Thank you so much for the visit to my Sunflowers. That is Russian Giant variety. I hope next year to have every variety. Bad drought here this year.Only the giants did well. Yes that is a Green Spider..he was a first for me. Have a close up shot in the Cold Comfort Album to be moved to the Sunflower Album. Your take on each photo gave me titles for them now. It's one thing to go away and take, perhaps, 1000 photos but it's a completely different matter when you get home and have to then sort, edit and title every photo before sticking it into a relevant album!     • Hi Eti and it's been a treat to view this album again. We have a few of these - lantana, bourgainvillea (though I've never seen it in lavendar) jasmine, sunflowers and one or two others. I think we have similar climates. Thanks for looking at my Yet Another Local Beach album which I ended up by reloading as Webshots told me it would take them rather a long time to find the missing photos. Good job I had back ups!     • Another beautiful album Eti and it portrays a Florida that we in Australia never see! Its great to have this view of it, away from all the hustle and bustle of the coast etc. Gorgeous photography that is very much appreciated. Thanks for your comments on my West Aussie Heritage album, in particular the haunted room. In fact the house is rated No 5 in Australia's most haunted homes list and the owner, who was our guide for the day, told us how - after buying the property - they had to sleep in that house while their new home was being built. Many's the time they would wake up in the morning to find the dressing table had been moved to the other side of the room, pictures thrown on to the floor in the living room and, on one occasion a deadly, but very dead, snake in the middle of the bedroom floor - it had quite obviously been killed to stop it from getting at them, but they were never able to find out how or by whom!! Spooky eh? Betty felt a very definite presence but I must be a disbeliever because I didn't feel a thing! Brrrrrrr - gone chilly all at once!! LOL Bye now, Peter

    • Hi Eti, I thank you up front for your real nice comments in my Fungi album, my, those were quite welcome. So, back to back decided it was a good time to visit your site and I'm glad I did. Downloaded #1, 3, 13 and 31 in this album, quite beautiful-all. The frames really bring out the subtle beauty in your photos, I have to congratulate you on your wonders of photography. You say that you've again taken up the hobby of photography, but you really never leave it, most just don't find the time or have forgotten their cameras many times before at the most opportune time. I see a shot or two I'd like to be taking with a camera, only not to have my camera with me. Its really quite aggravating. The next day doesn't cut it either, because the sun will never be in the same place twice including the clouds, wind and weather. If ever you get a chance to catch that one GREAT picture, stop the car and take the picture, you'll never have to wonder about it again. The Ocala album, where you spoke of the open cleared area, appeared to be a clearcut of ALL to me...if it were here, this would be called a 'selective cut'. It promotes a very large 'fire trail', because there's nothing for the fire to burn when it runs to this open area. This might be what they're doing here, but without asking the folks that contract this out, you'll never know for sure. Most government agencies won't volunteer anything, so you have to ask and they have to tell you because you're paying their wages out of your taxes. I do appreciate getting your invitations because I know your photography is right on the cutting edge. How could you use this hobby/vocation within your classroom activities. You know what they say, &quot;a picture is worth a thousand words&quot;. Best regards and thanks for all these visual records. Ron/Oregon Coast
