An album full of character ,history, charm & wonderful composition Luc , I loved it in 2003 & today I love it still.I do not see covered bridges here & they hold a complete facination for me ,how I would love to travel through one .The closest thing we would have for atmosphere would be the tunnels built through rock for roads ,you get that enclosed feeling with them for example the Victoria Tunnel in Wellington or perhaps the Lyttleton Tunnel connecting Christchurch & Lyttleton ,in the South Island ,yes ,I have travelled through both many times & they hold a magical enchantment for me everytime I do........

CHER LUC, JE VIENS DE FAIRE UNE PROMENADE BIEN AGREABLE ET DEPAYSANTE GRACE A VOUS.EN FRANCE, NOUS AVONS DE NOMBREUX PONTS, PLUS OU MOINS VIEUX, PLUS OU MOINS BEAUX, EN BOIS , EN PIERRE OU EN ACIER...MAIS PAS (A MA CONNAISSANCE) DE PONT COUVERT. JE SUPPOSE QUE CETTE PARTICULARITE EST LIEE AU RUDE CLIMAT DE VOTRE PAYS ? EN TOUT CAS, JE TROUVE QU'ILS AJOUTENT UN CHARME SUPPLEMENTAIRE AUX PAYSAGES. MERCI POUR LE PARTAGE. BIEN CORDIALEMENT. Hi Luc, I enjoy your work. The covered bridges are something to see. One of my favorite bridges was burt down by an arsonist. But I hear the fine folks of Parke County Indiana, are going to rebuild it, exactly like it was. I hope to get a few photos of the construction. Take care friend... Darrell

Hi Luc. I still love all these covered bridges. Maybe a bit envious too, that you have access to so many in your country. I think it is so wonderful that they are preserved and still here after so many years to use and enjoy. Always love your photography and thank for being part of Webshots. Dynna in MI.

May be they need to be covered because of the freezing weather conditions in winter? I can only think how dangerous they would be to use if covered in Ice and Snow when crossing the rivers etc? Anyway ,this series of photographs holds so much history and intrique.......how is the book coming along Luc? I think it will be a best seller with the tales that could be told.....Escaping Bank Robbers,Runaway Lovers ..........the imagination runs riot when viewing this wonderful collection of yours! Thanks for enriching our lives Luc ...it's great to see you have some "Luc Time" happening at the moment after a frantic Festive Season for you!Love,as always, Lynne

Bon Jour Luc! These are great photos mate. You said each of these bridges would have a story to tell. Wouldn't they be great stories to listen to. One day you might tell me the purpose of the covered bridges, the being covered part I mean. LOL. Thanks for sharing mate. Cheers Al

Hi Luc, thanks for all of your kind comments in many of my albums. I always love going through yours and especially this one. History was always one of my favorite subjects and going through this album is like going through Canadian History of Covered Bridges...really a great album Luc and there were/are so many!! Hard to believe there are such careless people that would burn down a piece of history. Great to see that most were rebuilt. Great album Luc as are all of yours. Thanks for visiting. Will be back to view yours often. :) Take care, Sharon/Arizona

Hello Luc and thanks for all the super nice comments on my albums. People may wonder if I pay you to write such wonderful words. That is a joke as you know, but you have not only a knack with words that make a person feel good about themselves. But you take a photo as good as it gets. I really like the old covered bridges here in this album. The way you capture them, some should be placed where the public can view. It is always good to hear from you, good that I have such a great friend there in your wonderful country. I think our President and his administration, has not helped the cause for unity between our two countries. There is no useful purpose served in bashing the French either. More good is done in promoting unity, and peace then in starting a war that most around the world don't approve of. Take care, all the best... Darrell

Hey Luc! It was good to hear from you. Thanks for the kind comments on my new album. Your Covered Bridges album is so great. Sharon and I wish you would get an album featured. You are such a great photographer and all your albums are so well composed and quality photographs. Your albums are features with us!!! We just recently went back to Indiana to Covered Bridge Country and ran around in the country taking photos of several covered bridges. We haven't had time to get those on Webshots, but I have the feeling Sharon will want those photos for her albums. LOL :-))) Have a great day and thanks again. Bob
