Hi Jane...I have enjoyed looking through this album again. I do that from time to time, look through this one, your harvest ones and anything to do with this area. Everything is so peaceful and even with the snow and cold, the photos don't feel cold. THere is a story in them and for sure we know that snow is not white...its blue, grey, purple, mauve and a little white too. I haven't been around much but want you to know I am still thinking of you often. How are you now after your fall. I hope all well and healed. hugs, Barbara

I've ear-marked your Palouse winter albun and downloand pictures from it as soon as we get our first snow here in Yakima, where I was born and raised. The rolling hills of the Palouse in all seasons is one of my favorite sights in this beautiful state of Washington (and there are many beautiful sights)!

Nice additions and I downloaded four pictures. You have really captured the texture of the region in winter. In 1968 we were in Washington State for Christmas and I remember driving from Wenatchee to Spokane and a wolf crossed the road (not a coyote -- a wolf). It was one of those days when the cloudy sky blended with the snowy horizon and even with the varied topography it was difficult to tell where the hills ended and the sky began. The cold austere beauty is unforgetable even as you might wish for a cozy hearth with a fire in the fireplace. Perhaps my favorite of the downloads (difficult to choose a favorite) is the one in which the stream knifes through the "powdered sugar" hills. I think I would like to see a four-panel four-season picture of Kamiak Butte.

Hello Jane. After viewing your album yesterday I had to come back and download some of your images. I did not have the time yesterday. There are so many that I enjoyed, but only downloaded about 7 or 8. Back in 1978 I lived in Pullman then Moscow. My roommate worked at WSU and I worked for a law office in Moscow: Bielenberg, Anderson and Walker. Don't even know if they exist anymore. All my family lived in and round Spokane at the time, so I ended up moving after about 8 months back up that way. I wish I had been into photography at that time. There are so many photo opportunities in your area that I missed. But, one good thing, I get to see them now because of your. I thank you for that. Merry Christmas and a joyous new year to your and your family. Lynn

Good Morning Jane. This album is beautiful. I am so glad we moved for Northern Idaho this past February. We get much less snow here and more sunshine all year than there. Here in the Klamath Basin, we get over 300 days of sunshine a year and the snow comes and goes. When we lived in Montana and Idaho, we had snow on the ground all winter as you well know. May I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a joyful new year. Stay warm and dry. God bless you my friend. Lynn

I do love your photographs of the trees covered in snow. Beautiful! I just came from Jesus' new album (raijmayo100). Two of his #52/53 show a house almost completely covered. Scary! It makes me cold enough to shiver! No more complaining about our cold Southern California nights:) GOD BLESS YOU JANE, Betty

Your pictures have brought out the beauty and serenity of eastern WA. I especially like the barns. BTW, I too am a retired nurse. This life is the BEST! I'll look over the rest of your albums soon. Hi Sister, This album is really beautiful. All of the fresh white snow gives off such a feeling of peace and tranquility. I like the country road photo. What road were you on when you took that picture? According to CNN the last time you had heavy snows like this one was 7 years ago (Christmas 1996). That was the Christmas we were there and it snowed so much and was so pretty. Thanks for sharing. Love you and God Bless .. Donna

Hi Jane, Thanks for your further kind work about my albums. Congratulations on your digital camera. You were commenting about Sunrise and sunset pictures . The secret to getting a good picture is to UNDER expose it. If you have a setting on your camera for exposure compensation, use it and got to -2 when taking a sunrise or sunset picture and you'll get more color and definition in the picture. Hoya also makes a special filter that has a -2 neutral density filter for half of the filter you position that on top and set it on the horizon and the lover half remains underexposed so you can see the grouns or ocean or whatever you're taking a picture of, but the sky looks good. If you ever want to contact me about Photography you can write me at Randyincv@yahoo.com Carol and I like to travel around during nice weather and take pictures. Your pages are looking very very good. Randy in Corvallis Oregon

Jane, I love the Washington Cascade Mountains as Seen From an Airplane and the Winter Sky. Of course, I always love the reflections photos. I was shocked to hear that you hadn't had any snow this year; I always think that because you're so far up in the Northwest that you get a lot of snow. We have had more than usual here this winter, so we had a fun time taking the Winter Album at the MO Botanical Gardens. It really wasn't extremely cold that particular day. Thanks for your kind comments on the album. Have a great week and God Bless. Sharon

Awesome Album..you are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful part of our country...We don't have scenes like these here in Texas but thanks to Webshots & photographers like yourself we are able to view other parts of God's Awesome Creation & plan trips..This was one of the reasons why I went to the Pacific Northwest two years ago...not only did I have relatives but also friends who lived out there & they told me "If I'd Come..I'd see beauty which I'd never seen before"..How true those words were... By the way I just added some more albums to my collection that you might enjoy..some from Arkansas & also an album of "Old Classics"....Tak e a look...God Bless...Ken

Enjoyed your winter wheat picture -- no wheat but great snow. Spent one year at the University of Idaho after graduating from college. Beautiful area (born in Wenatchee, Washington). Found your albums via your comments to rjmeyer.
