I am new to Webshots, the more I explore the more I am amazed at the quality of the photography, especially yours Sharon & Bob. I expect mine will improve in time as digital gets better results, and 10 megapixel takes great shots. I watch the Masters Golf in Augusta, so I had a good idea of how beautiful Azaleas & Dogwood looked, we have some beautiful flowers in England too, I hope I can do them justice & give you American people an idea of Old England in her glory. I attended elelmentary school just a few blocks away from where these photos were taken. I remember when the Japenese garden was created - it is so beautiful now! I need to get back home to see it all again! You have really captured the beauty of one of the most beautiful botanical in the world. Tell us about the ledgend of the Dogwood Tree? They are very beautiful trees and never get really huge, ever stop and wonder why? Such beauty ever so small, some fairly large but none just huge, however they do grow quite wide with relivily small branches with such beauty,. Come this spring I know a place near my home that the city lined the street with this beauty ,I'll do my best to post this extrodinary shot. Many nice shots there Sharon & Bob!

Hello Sharon! To have been in webshots all these years and not to have visited this album is like living in Agra and not visiting the Taj Mahal! This is the most beautiful album of any botanical garden I have seen in webshots. Missouri can be very proud of itself. You have hit the garden on a perfect day. It is a riot of colours, each flower bed vying with the next like models on a catwalk. My mind is awhirl with saturation of such gorgeous colours and beauty! Sharon and Bob: I cannot begin to tell you what wonderful memories your beautiful albums bring to me. I have downloaded almost all of them to my webshots. I worked at the Missouri Botanical Gardens for a year in 1997. It was a wonderful experience. They have added so much that I now want to come back to Missouri and see them again. Hi Sharon. Thanks for your nice words in my guestbook of Mallorca, but, I'm almost ashamed thinking of you seeing my photos. Yours are so much better than mine... I saw this wonderful album and, I swear, I have already seen photos of these gardens, but your photos are, really, great. I couldn't choose favourites, they were so many. I downloaded several photos, naturaly, because I adore seeing beautiful flowers running on my screen. One day, I will visit some of those charming places. There is so much beauty in all that! My country has beautiful things, but we don't have nothing like those lovely gardens, not even close. US is a great country, with great gardens and wonderful and diversified landscape. My son has been there last September but he spent a all month always in the big cities New York, Washington, Philadelphia, etc. Can you believe it? About three thousand photos and not one single flower... not a mountain, a river, nothing. I hope my english writing is understandable. I'm trying to translate my albums into english, because I believe most of users in this site speak english, but I'm afraid, at the very first photos they see, they will die laughing. Hi Sharon, THIS album is one of my favorites. In fact, I could easily fill my favorites collection from this album alone. If I ever make it to Missouri I must see this wonderful place. I actually planted several cherry and crabapple trees in my backyard garden after viewing this album. Thanks for making my new puppy one of your favorite photos. What a wonderful treat. I am so very honored. No, he still doesn't have a name - poor fella. He looks a bit sad in the photo; that day he had left his home is TX and flown alone to this strange new place in SC so he was likely a bit homesick. He weighs 4lbs, and is every bit as sweet as he looks. I've tried out SO many names but none seem quite right. Looking for something to match his teddy bear image. Considering Gizmo (Gremlins), Widget (I'm a Software Engineer), Cashmere, Lavendar (just like the sound), Precious, Angel, Teddy. If you have any ideas, I'm still searching for that perfect name... Hello Bob and Sharon, I took off one of the guestbook entries Sharon. I have done that a few times, I felt so foolish, and I just thought they didn't except my entry. Thanks so much for your guestbook comments Sharon. I see you made it into Louisville, I used to work there. But now I live about 90 miles from there. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Frankfort. If you ever wanted to see some of the most beautiful horse farms, just take US 60 out of Frankfort, east toward Versailles Ky. It is a very short distance. Once you get into the horse country, take a scenic highway route. If you like horses, beautiful farms, then it will be worth your time to take a look. If by chance you enjoy horses of different breeds, then the Kentucky Horse Park of 1200 acres, 55 miles of white fence is a place to see. I might get back to St.Louis this year, but just not sure yet. Another very beautiful album Sharon. I see you enjoy flowers and things that are scenic. Your albums are always so very colorful. I would love to add you folks to one of my favorites, if that is acceptable? Sharon bingo on Effingham and the huge Cross. I want to use it for my album The Plain Truth From the Bible, write some Scripture, on it and just maybe, it will catch an eye, and someone will take a moment to read. Hi Guys, You've got a real winner in this album. Very impressive. My favorite was "Sunglitter Bronze & Orpheus Fountain", because of my love for reflection scenes with some great foreground material. Many others exhibited very good depth-of-field--a must in scenes like these with so many levels that need to be in focus to make the shot exactly right. In 2 weeks we make our move to our new Idaho home. No more Midwest humidity! Hopefully after that my photography will take a giant-step into new and unexplored regions of the west. Jon

Hi Sharon, I know what you mean about Busch Stadium. I felt pangs of nostalgia while I was taking those photos. I was thinking about how much fun my girlfriends and I had there in the early 80's. I really did have a big lump in my throat as I thought about them imploding the stadium. But...on the bright side...have you seen the photos of the new stadium and plaza? Dear Sharon and Bob, a smashing album!!! Aren't you lucky to have such a place so close!!! If I were you, I would certainly move house in that magic place! Is there something that those gardens DO NOT have?????I wonder!Sure, the Japanese garden is like a painting! But the tulips, wisteria, azaleas, dogwood and so on...what glowing colours. Though this beauty would not be permitted to us if it weren't for your high quality shots! Yes, I started writing favourites, but I gave it up! About 11 shots are extremely good, with good and well balanced composition; another 8 shots I found lovely (for me), and No.47 is a stunning composition! Hi Sharon. Waking up at 4:30 am and not being able to go back to sleep has its advantages. I am able to catch up on many of my favorite photographer's new albums. It must be so wonderful to have such a beautiful botanical garden so close by. I would spend many hours strolling through the gardens as well. I especially loved your photos of the Blue Boulder Cascade but it would be hard to pick favorites among so many beautiful photos. Hi Sharon, I'm still working on the pics that I took yesterday, but I think we're pretty much at the end of our spring season. I'm just trying to get every last picture out of it that I can! Right now I'm mapping out our vacation plans for July. Looks like we'll be driving through Crested Butte (Colorado's wildflower capital) during their annual Wildflower Festival! Sharon I will definitely have to move to St.Louis and check out if the colors of the flowers in the Botanical Garden are real or you color them. Hi, Sharon It does not happen very often that I am at a loss for words - but I am after just viewing a slide show of your beautiful photos, each one of them a masterpiece in itself. Everyone of your albums - be it about flowers, animals or travel scenery is a wonderful photo journey. It always seems it cannot get any better than that, until you surpass yourself with the next one! My screen saver collection is about to get enriched with more sensational pictures! Thanks for your guest book entry in "Gathering of Feathered Friends" - glad you enjoyed it. I just took the photos yesterday when I saw this congregation of assorted bird life and decided to walk the 50 yards to be among them and shoot some pictures. Where they had me outnumbered they did not seem to mind my standing among them. (Probably thought one more vulture did not matter). It was going to be a fun private album, when Kathy encouraged me to make it public. If only a few people can enjoy it, it will have been worth while. Good luck and best wishes toward your next one!

Hi Sharon. As usual, fantastic. I started picking favorites and got as far as no. 8 the glowing tulip and had to give it away because I kept finding other photos that I liked just as much. I love the reflection photos but the tulips, azaleas, dogwood blossums and everything else are all just so pretty. Do you and the caddy live at the gardens or do you go home some times?.lol. Hi Sharon and Bob...I don't care if you are late with a Spring album, it is worth it. I love the dogwood and I love the tulips in the rose garden. The coinbasin shot is so nice and I love the daffodils in orange and white. I like the bonze sturgeons, the azaleas in the dry garden and all of the tulips are beautiful. I love the pond and the bench for a nice rest, and the dogwoods in the English wooded garden. The blue boulder with the waterfall shot is wonderful!!! I love it. I love the drum bridge with all the pretty blossoms. The musicians in the fountain is a wonderful shot too. I love the blossoms in the Japanese garden, the beautiful purple and white tulips, the wildflower garden and the peonies are so lovely. The Iris Garden is beautiful still. The Swift Family garden is lovely also. This place is huge and always a joy to see. The dogwoods at the entrance to the Japanese Garden is beautiful. I love all the photos in the Japanese Garden. I think this is my favourite spot here and of course I download all the photos. The zigzag bridge is always a favourite too, as well as the azaleas. I love the paths and the fountain and statues. I love your album. Maybe one day I will get to see this place. Until then,thank goodness I have your photos several times a year and Candy's album from her holidays to look at all these spectacular views. hugs and much love, Barbara
