Hi Henri & Kathi, You make me so ashamed that I don’t take the trouble to find the names of my flowers the way that you always do. Such wonderful pictures always fill your albums; they are a joy to view. Thank you for all your very kind messages in my guestbook’s and I am sorry that I did not answer at once. It is the holiday season here and I have had to cover for my colleges, this has meant that I have had no time for myself. You asked about our Silver Wedding, it was on 18th September 2003. We had a family party here in England and then another with our family in Spain, a good time was had by all. Our new kitten Socks is doing very well, we are quite worn out as it is like having a two year old child in the house......never a dull moment..... we would not have it any other way. She will never replace my ‘Babes’ as he was just so very special, but we love her dearly already. Hope you are both well. God Bless you both my friends.....Meg.

Hello Henri and Käthi, great photo’s of your garden in spring. The feature of March 3, 2003 is well deserved! But also the additional photos are of great beauty. I very much like “the pine 1”, the”wild_hyacinth 2” and the narcissus twins (nr. 51). Thanks for your reaction on my Spring album, it’s an older one that I have freshened up a bit. The shots of the Icelandic poppies have been taken over 2 years ago. I don’t know if they will grow with you in the South. But as you grow the same sort of spring flowers as we have only they bloom earlier, because your region is warmer, I think you can try it successfully. It’s a very nice plant that has a great variety of colours. It has been sowed and will grow/bloom for 2 years. It has vanished now from my garden and I have tried to sow it again, but I am not always lucky with that. But I keep trying. Love and hugs, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hi Henri and Kaethi, I love your additions! I never seen a tulip with the stripes before, but it sure is pretty! As a kid, I always loved the Lily of the Valley the best! Toby and Sweetpea thank you for the Purrrrfect comments on their new pics! My honey will be taking care of all my furballs while I am on my vacation. They are very fond of him, so they won't mind! Hi Henri and Käthi! Sharon and I love the additions you have made to your spring garden album. We love those beautiful Hyacinths! I think our first daffodil will open this weekend!! Just one bloom, but they're all coming up nicely; the trees are getting little buds on them and everything is starting to look like spring. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Sharon wants to go back to the orchid show one last time today; it closes down tomorrow until next year. We have really enjoyed this year's display more than any they've had. Thanks again. Bob

Hi Henri and Kaethi, What a beautiful collection of Spring flowers! My flowers are just barely trying to break dirt now, but in a few weeks, they should be up and looking pretty! In the meantime, I came to look at these lovlies! Their all very nice but my favorite is the Hyacinth! Thanks for the nice comments on my album, Odds and Ends! I hope you enjoyed the variety shots in there! Thanks again! Vicky from Pennsylvania

Hello Henri and Kaethi you have a beautiful garden, I loved seeing the flowers. It is very hard to get beautiful plants to grow where I live at 5,000 foot above sea level. Thanks for your comments about my album “Me and My Camera.” I see that Weezie and you two have been conspiring to get me to send my picture to her for her album. : - ) LOL Norm

Thanks signing to my guestbook. These hydrangea taken around my home and are usually blue or purple color in Japan. ------------------------- ------------- Although the color of a flower of a hydrangea also has a white thing, many change with the acidity of the ground to blue, purple, pink, red, etc. The hydrangea from which such a color changes was original with Japan, and most seemed to be the pink system in Europe because of the alkali ground. The color can be taken out with making a blue system into acidity from this, and making a pink and red (pH6 ->pH5) system into alkalinity (pH6 ->pH7) although the acid soil suitable for growth of a hydrangea is pH 6 order. It may be possible by changing the kind of manure or ground.

Henri and Kathi...This is a beautiful album as I told you before and I am so happy that it is a featured album for you. Congratulations. I love the way you took the yellow iris from a bud, to slightly open, and then more and more until it was finally open all the way. I love also the climbing rose bud and the purple flowers too. This is a very beautiful album. I wonder if I might ask you if I may use some of your flower photos to use in making my cards. I would be honoured if you let me. Henri and Kathi...I'm thrilled to see that your album is featured today. All the flowers just brighten up the cold day here in Missouri. I love the Wild Hyacinth, the Hyacinth, and the Calendula. We used to live on street named Calendula and people pronounced it three different ways; it was a long time before we knew it was the name of a flower. :-)) Hope you have a lovely day and keep those spring flowers coming our way.
