Paul, it is great meeting and hiking with you today to Hemphill Bald. Was Linda in your fotos the same gal with us today? You had some fotos of barefoot stream crossings. Gary Eblen, manager of Diamond Brands, adviced me the following when crossing a stream higher than boot height: tale off your socks and boot-liners, wear boots on bear foot, cross the stream, pour all water in the boot out, reinsert the liner, wear your dry sock and wear the damp boots , which will dry soon.
