Hi J n J. It's good to see you are back in action. I always thought that you could climb a tree if a bear chased you. It's a good thing we don't have bears down here, aye?. There would have been a scatter if the bear came down from the tree where the tourists were. Thanks for sharing your bears. I'm honored to be first in this guestbook too. Catch you both later. Hugs and best wishes. Guess which is for you Joe. lol. Al.

HI J & J, if you go down to the woods today watch out for the bears, wonderful creatures, We don't see anything like that here a fox is as big as it gets, nice pics, I bet you needed that big lens. Thanks for the kind words for the feature I had a lot of fun doing that one. keep in touch Ken

Hello Jayne, enjoyed this album immencely. You must have been pretty close for those pics. We did see a bear in Sequoia NP a couple of years ago. My wife had expressed a wish to see a bear, but as we rounded a corner & there was one on the road that started to run towards us, she panicked, screaming shut the window (we did have fruit in the car) consequently my hurried photo was not as clear as I would have liked! Thankyou for my guestbook entry, we did have a great trip or at least I did, wife was not too keen. Eric

Love your bear pictures -- The Smokys are my favorite place in the world. Loved the story you told along with the pictures. Last year while on vacation a bear family visited us in the middle of the night turning over the trash can at our rented cabin. We got a few pictures and they are in my Gatlinburg - Summer 2004-2 album in Webshots.

This looks like "Fred". My kids named a black bear they met on their way to school each day when we lived in Juneau. "Fred" also had to be relocated. He was just too friendly. Your photos brought back lots of memories. Thanks!

I really enjoyed the bear pics, thank you. I'm a fire lookout. I don't see much wildlife while I'm in my tower but I have seen several bear while I was driving in the area. I must say, they are my very favorite animal to see. Thank you.

Hi Jayne, Thank you so much for your GB entry on my beavers, very kind of you The exciting thing for me was that they really are the only wild beavers in the country and I got them on camera :o) We have nothing as exciting as your bears thats for certain Your pictures are just wonderful and thanks for the advise about the cheery trees and chips, something I'm sure to remember LOL. Take care now Jill

Another Great album Jayne..Your captions add so much to these awesome photos..Yes I can see why you would use a 200mm lens as the bears like to come up to cars in search for food or snacks...God's Blessings from Texas...Ken

Hello Jayne, these are wonderful photos of bears. Your Nikon certainly lets you get nice close shots from a safe distance. Thanks too for the captions, it was good to know what was happening. A most enjoyable album; cheers from Keith in Sydney.

HI Jayne, These are the first bear photos I've seen in webshots. They are beautiful creatures. I know that they can be dangerous and it's such a pity some are so badly treated in captivity. At least yours and free and happy. I enjoyed seeing them. You have really captured them wonderfully. Thanks Dee

Great album, and a wonderful story! I loved it! Now one thing I learned, if I ever run across a bear I will throw my potatoe chip one way and then run the other! Thank you for this wonderful album, and the captions..Best wishes, Carolyn
