Album Description:
Eagle Point Park was established in Dubuque in 1908. In 1934 the park expanded with the assistance of the WPA program. At this time the limestone buildings and walls were erected under the guidance of architect Alfred Caldwell.

Noticed a message in my guestbook from a dubuquer. Thanks for stopping by. I grew up in dubuque too, but haven't lived there for 20 years. Still love the place though. You have some great pictures of old Dubuque. Thanks for putting them online.

I was looking up the history of Eagle Point Park and webshots came up with your pictures. Wonderful I just got done hiking through the park today. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you for sharing.
