Hi Claudia, If you will look at my More Flowers Albums photos 52,53 & 54 show closeups of the plant I saw with your butterfly. It's not a buddleia (not big enough and leaves are waxy looking) looks more like veronica flowers but it's a bush..I'm stumped! I still love your butterflies! Sandy in Georgia

What stunning photos of the butterflies and such a variety. Absolutely beautiful. I can appreciate you providing names for them as well. The "glass wing" surprised me as I was recently mailed an article about what causes that, the trails left by jets. I do not know if this is the true reason but to see one in your album confirms it happens. I too have fondness for butterflies and some albums to view of them and the garden. Hi Claudia! I've never really seen any butterflies until I joined webshots because all we get in NZ are Monarchs, Red Admirals, Cabbage Moths (a vege gardeners nightmare!) and a couple of TINY natives so these photos of yours are wonderful!!! My favourites here are the Malachite, the Glass Wings and the Scarlett Swallowtails. I also can't figure out how you get so close as my last effort to get a photo of a Monarch took me AGES because the thing took off as soon as I got within focussing distance!! I suspect my 3x optical zoom is a limitation here LOL. Love and hugs, Kate

Hi Claudia, it looks like we are on the same wavelenth, butterflys and Flowers, I'm sure I am going to have a lot of fun looking through all your albums. this butterfly album is superb, lots of different species all very beautiful, and well photographed, I love takeing pictures of them, they always seem a challenge to me especially as I am not the most patient of people. mine are all from the wild, so there is not such a large variety so I put othe small creatures in as well. I don't as a rule ask people to view my albums, but I am sure you will like my God's Beautiful creatures and the Wicken Fen Album both have butterflys.
