Cades Cove In The Great Smoky Mountains

I am writing to ask permission to paint the beautiful photo on Webshots named cabin 2b. Cades Cove I am a great grandmother - amateur painter. I paint for my own pleasure. Amelia...Thanks for listing me as one of your favorites as I consider it an honor..Someday I also hope to visit Cades Cove because I see some very intersting Old Wooden Churches & barns which I would love to add to my albums..Did you know that heyburn3 (Bill Cable) is related to the Cable's from Cades Cove..I saw that in one of the comments Bill made in an album of Cades Cove..You should let him know about your awesome album as I know he would appreciate it..Am looking forward to viewing more of your albums in the very near future...Thanks for sharing your wonderful albums..God's Blessings & Happy New Year from Texas...Ken

What I failed to mantion is that the Cabin was built by a Tipton and then purchased by John Oliver, and is ofen called the Tipton/Oliver cabin.

I love the album ! The Cove is more special to me since learning that the first dweller, Col.J.W.H. Tipton was cousin to one of my g grandfathers. Other distant ancestors were living there at times. I have been to this wonderful place many times, and it is a special treat each time. Even though I have not been back since learning of my own connection here. I can't wait to go again. These pictures are just great, and it is great to be able to have a place to write my thoughts. Sara
