  • Ps. I am enjoying your albums immensely! My grandfather was from the "old country" many years ago so feel a special affinity. Also, got to visit for a short while in '92. Our daughter spent a few months near Carnforth at Capernwray.

  • Very interesting seeing the picture of Razor fish! We have here on the west coast of the United States in Oregon and Washington States, what we call Razor CLAMS! Yours look a little narrower, but I wonder if they are the same thing! Do they have a neck and a "foot" or digger?

  • I'm my father's daughter and your senses of humour are almost identical...this album not only pleased my eyes but made me laugh! He's from Hastings, East Sussex, my mum's from Hull, which is some part of Yorkshire these days, they've changed the Yorkshire boundaries so much that I hardly know! Fine photos once again, thank you! Allie, St. George, Ontario, Canada.

  • Forgot about your questioning me about the Egret and the Blue Heron. YES! they will eat all your fish if givien the chance. We have to scare them off even if they are something special to watch. They are quick to fly off since we chase them off. So I really couldn't get close enough with my camera zoom, need to get a telephoto lens but thinking I might replace my camera even though I love my camera its just a 5.0. Im at the point I want bigger and better...:0O Be nice!

I can't believe I did not sign this the first or second time I came to see these; I love the concept of this album and today I focused on #37, High & Dry, #s 41-42, the Camel shots and #51, Millie, the doll-dog! • HI Ken & Carolyn: Well.... Milly is adorable...Also what on earth is that last sculpture? It looks like a piece of farm machinery rusting away! We have some things like that over there that cost millions of dollars to make & they look like they should be in the junkyard instead. Guess I don't know art when I see it huh? This is a neat album though & great idea & title.Keep up the good work. Till Later...Bye...Kathryn

  • Hi Ken and Carolynn, I think you have made a great job of putting this album together and the titles add greatly to in. Thanks for your comments in my Dragonflies and Mayflies album. I must admit I find it a hard to keep up with the naming every thing in fact I think its going to have to be a winter job. Margaret and I are joining a local canoe club that will take up even more time. I am getting close to the three thousand, limit of allowed photos. I am soon going to have to edit the albums quit drastically, mind you I always did intend to chop out the dross and replace it good images. The only trouble with this idea is you can never find the same species for the second time go get a better image. Eventually I am only going to keep a couple of albums, the best of this year, then start all over for next year. If you feel like helping me edit I would appreciate the help. Any way take care both and hope to catch you later. Paul and Margaret.

  • Oh my dear Ken, how are you this fine day? Sure its been really nice to hook up with Beth and share a love of photography with friends (from cyberspace to in the flesh!). Yes, I have perked up a bit and trying not to wallow as much. As you pointed out the days keep slipping by ( even though its still painfully slow) and getting closer to my anticipated hols. We leave on the 21st Aug.and will spend 3 n half -4 weeks travelling about. A welcome break no doubt and will go mad with the camera hopefully! Wow, so 250 terrific photos of yours all to be kept secret and not shared just because of Webshots techie problems......hm...thats just not fair or right and maybe I should get on the horn and tell them to shape it up so I won't be deprived of not being able to see more of your talented lens work! ( that was not tongue in cheek by the way, slightly serious as I do enjoy viewing your albums very much!)

  • Hi to you both, that is the 5th time that I try to send this message. Usually the power and/or Internet brakes down right in the middle of it. We have still difficultis here. I looked at tis album 4 or 5 nights ago. I had to put on theslideshow. It was just what I needed. Your photos are excellent like allways. But your comments are just what was needed to make this album outstanding. It did bring in light into my night and made my day bright. Is somebody listening at Webshots? That is a feature!!! Thanks for all the entrys in my guestbook. Sorry for responding late. We are doing ok here. Just getting a little tired. Can't get enough sleep. The days are still filled with cleaning up and rebulding. The just toke the rest of ourv old place down and started on the new house today. We have or own contractors here allways working in Paamul There is a lot of help from outside. Thousands of peoples are out of work. The big allinclusive hotels fired them the day after the hurricane. The oproblem is the shortage of materiales. But we still see progress. In most because we make it. Paamulians are somehow special. You can't put them down. The allways come out better then before after a disastre. It's the spirit of the place. We have to go on and work hard but we know we will do it again. There are no new pictures in the album because I can't. I had a loant computer for two nights [there is no time on the day] to put on the two hurricane albums. albums. Now I'm working with an old computer. It dosen't do much anymore. It dosen't print allways what I write. I try to correct that but I have trouble to see wht I write. The screen ois allmost gone. The spell check won-t work. So yust ignore all the mistakes. My new computer should be back soon from repair. I will put on new photos soon I can. Thanks again for all your mail and encouraging words. It helps us a lot. I hope you will visit here if everything is in order again. You just need a fly over here. [I think you could get last minute flys for a good deal in old Europe]. You allways will find a home here. I now you two would love to click your camera here. Many big bug-hugs Phil and Heidi

Wonderful and witty captions which encourages the viewer to want to see more and more of your great pics. Shame when they came to an end. Must get off this computer NOW and get a move on. Back on line in 3 weeks. Be in touch then. Take care and keep snapping. Say hi to Carolynn for me. Cheers. Jayne xx

  • Hi Ken: Visits make you lose a bit your rhythm - this explains that it is only now we can admire your last album. Absolutely brilliant - work of a genius! We love also the captions - such a typical English humor, a humor without loud laughing, just with a discrete smiling... Well, to resume: a masterpiece! - Kind regards (and many thanks for your friendly words in our Balcony album)! Kaethi and Henri.

  • Hi Ken, what a wonderful collection of all sorts of things! I thoroughly enjoyed the slideshow! I especially like: #9,11,12 & 13 (they made me laugh), 14, 15, 21, 25 (how unique!), 28, 31, and 33. Great shots and very interesting as well! Thanks for your latest comments in my guestbooks! Hugs to you and Carolyn, Candi

  • My Dear Ken, this is a wonderful continuation on a I am? theme... my fav. shot is the Razorfish shells, very cool looking shot! That one of the deer looks a bit freaky with its eyes reflected from the flash...looks a bit possessed if you ask me....:), liked the Koi close up too! Great album, enjoyed and had lots of fun. Now onto the subject of missing a day....yes, I was a little put out that I didn't get to hear from you and was going to give you a right bullocking but then thought..nah. When to have a look at todays comment it just made up for that loss....yesterday! Such lovely encouraging words to a disillusioned mess of a girl on a Island that is very tough to love. You are just a big softy at heart aren't ya! :) Very sweet and greatly appreciated. By the way the whole Zim. ribbing totally fine, it is very sad how Mr.M has tortured its people, ruined the economy, destroyed livlihood and land. Especially witnessing its decline so rapidly in the last 5 years, its very sad. Some of our family has been kicked off their property and farms, and there has been a mass exodus. However, all the bad that is happening there are still places in the country that Mr. M cannot ever touch or ruin and those are the places I intend to photograph and show to people that Zim is still a wonderful place and has still so much to offer. I will be heading off to Zim./Cape Town at the end of August and can't wait to be let loose with my camera again. But yes, keep up the spice, banter and ribbing as this world needs a bit of cheeky comedy, right! Anyway, I did miss you and so glad you left a message today, wishing you warm fuzzy's my cheeky friend from the Fens...., hugs and smiles, amy :)

  • You ARE on a roll buster! And I like everything about this album (apart from the caption for the upside down crab which might have offended some viewers!!) Have to tell you about the sled at Clovelly. When we were there in 97 the milko was using it to deliver all down the street - at several houses he would just walk straight in without knocking and at one he seemed to stay for quite a long time - in fact he was only just coming out as we started the long trek back up to the top again. I really don't know why he would have been so long there. Reminded me of the two Blackpool landladies I overheard chatting one day. One said to the other, Eee, yon milkman's a cheeky beggar - reckons he's been to bed with every woman in our street except one. To which the second landlady replied, Aye, and I bet that's that stuck up ##### at No. 36! See ya mate, Peter

  • What's up Ken the Fen? This one and I'm All Kinds Of Things are my most favorite of albums! I just giggled going through this one. I love your sense of humor! Poor Carolynn, tell her I understand completely. I am forever telling Gary, "would you COME ON"?! Bless her heart, the patience of Job no doubt. I'm a little bit koi is sooooo funny! I was quite caught off guard with that one. Now, about Al and that crab picture .....sounds like you and Lorrie are ganging up on the poor ole boy. But I'll let Al fight his own battles lest you come after me next! lol Sizzlin' and sweatin' down south - Jeanie

You captured his personality perfectly in that photo. Man Ken, you are the best photographer in the world I must say. This truly is a funny album.
