  • Penso che Venezia, Barcelona and Bruges sono le citta piu belle dell'Europa, pero ciascuno per le sue ragioni particolari. A Bruges, a 150 kms da qui, sono stato tante volte, anche quando abitavo a l'Aja. E il fiammingo a esattamente la stessa lingua che l 'olandese, meglio il neerlandese. Il neerlandese e la lingua ufficiale delle due paesi, che erano uno stato tra 1815 e 1839. Solo la pronunciazione e un poco differente.

  • Caterina! Questo e un album moltograzioso, con luce superba e atmosfera elegante ed autentica. Grazie per i tuoi informazioni sulla costa romagnola, e sempre buono avere dei 'tips' di conoscenti. Non vado per lavoro, perche sono pensionato, vedi la mia foto su http://santebrun2.blogs.com. Vado con la moglie in camper, andiamo anche a Parma, Bologna, Firenze e finalmente al posto dove e nato (piu di cento anni fa) in mio padre, morto da quasi 25 anni. E nella provincia di Pordenone e si chiama Fanna, un picolissimo, paese. Posso darti un consiglio? Nel titolo di questo album scrivi che i tuoi 'sons' sono Claudia e Francesca; mi pare che sono ragazze o figlie, che sono in inglese 'daughters'. Forse dovrei cambiare 'sons' per 'children'; in italiano e lo stesso, in inglese invece no. Ciao, auguri una bella giornata; qui abbiamo un piccolo ultimo porzione di estate oggi e domani, allora: barbecue!

What is the reason for these interesting and unusual sails? It almost seems like a Palio on the water. Does each sail have a special historical significance? Where is Cesenatico?   • Dear Caterina - You are full of surprises - another wonderful album with a nautical theme! The background scenery, all these beautiful sails on so many bright colors, shapes and patterns, all enhanced by your excellent photography - composition and angles - all that makes for a wonderful album. My only regret - I don't have hi-speed internet here in my summer quarters and cannot run slide shows - that has to wait. But I will have a few select downloads!
