Ripper photos Galit and once again you have demonstrated your ability of making one single subject into a thing of great beauty and interest. We have a frangipani in our garden but it never seems to flower when I want it to, unlike the one at our last house which was a real beauty. Excellent photos as always. Love and hugs, Peter

Hallo Galit!

Hello Grannie, Beautiful photography here, should be a featured album though, that's for sure. The color is outstanding. Do these flowers have a waxy coating by the way? They look like they do, but never had the pleasure to see one up close. Best regards from the foggy coast of Southern Oregon. Ron

Hi Galit! Fantastic album and such a wonderful gesture to dedicate it to your Australian friends -- thankyou! The Frangipani is such a photogenic flower and you have found a wonderful specimen for these stunning images that will look awesome on any screen. Of course they come in many colours, and with both long and short petals, and even an evergreen variety. If you are curious about other colours, here are some of them: http://www.botany.hawaii.edu/faculty/bridges/sonytest/plumeria/plumeria.htm Once again, many thanks for your thoughtful gesture and keep your camera clicking away. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hallo Galit!

Hi Galit, Thank you for your wonderful message. I haven't visited you for a long time too! This album is truly splendid. Also enjoyed your additions in Yoav's and Israeli holidays albums - Beautiful photos of the 4 generations! Galit, I hope you are doing well. What can I say, I don't think it was an easy week for anyone in Israel. Let's hope for a better week now, best wishes to you and yours. Orly

Hi Galit! The yellows in this flower are truly smooth and creamy. Yummy is the word. Nice job capturing and showing us what you saw. Thanks for the comments in my featured album yesterday. We dodged the bullet with hurrican Katrina. She slammed into New Orleans though and the damage was pretty bad. Nature continues to business as usual regardless of what we think! Take care and I am truly glad when things are quiet in your area. Many hugs. Eti

Hi Galit, this flower is indeed gorgeous and the way you show the many aspects of this flower is really great. I enjoyed the album very much. Looking at these flower pictures I suddenly remembered that I have seen it (and took a picture of it myself) in the conservatory garden in Haren, a little town in the neighbourhood of the city Groningen, situated in one of our northern provinces. It is nr. 29 in the album Various Nature & Scenery pictures (evanwely). I took the picture because I liked the flowers very much, they were so delicate of colour, but I cannot remember its smell. Thanks for sharing Galit, and also thanks for your reaction on the album of my vegetable garden. Kind regards, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hallo Galit!

Galit, I just read sodapop89 message and know that you are okay because you just left me a message about one of my albums. I am glad. Is see the Frangipani album is from Australia not Israel or Hawaii. I will see what you say about the Poinciana flower album next. Still I am surprised as I thought they were only in Hawaii. What flowers are native to Israel? I am ignorant of what those might be, especially since as I said someone in Europe displayed a photo of a flower I found here in California, USA.

Hi Galit; This is a fabulous album. I have always loved these flowers and I seem to connect them with Hawaii, but they could be growing anywhere tropical. You have captured them beautifully and they seems to do equally well in the shade. Thank you so much for your kind words on my shell album. It was a lot of fun doing that one, as they were only of the collection I had at home. The album you might have been looking for on Roses is now titled Mostly Roses and Hydrangeas. I am waiting for more roses to bloom in our parks here so that I can take more pictures to add to it. It will be interesting to see how they will compare with the pics I took with my old camera. I am enjoying your pictures and this album are just stunning. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful work. Best Wishes, Marjie

Hi Galit, Thanks for your kind messages in my guestbook. It was great to hear from you again. Yes I do have a twin sister who lives with me. I did go back to Israel last year after the war for a wedding. I felt ok there, i wasn't worried, but I almost cancelled the trip, which thankfully I didn't. My sister right now is recovering from a bad finger injury that required microsurgery to reattach the tip of her left index finger. We had a stupid mishap at home and thus the result. hopefully she will recover soon. Thanks again for your kind words. Shalom, Linda

Hi Galit, an amazing album! These blossoms are special - somehow mysterious - I, for one, got that impression when looking at these outstanding pictures! Other topic - the chestnut tree: there are various (cultivated) species blooming in different colors, white, yellow, pink - or even spotted! Thank you for visiting my new zoo album and for your sensitive comments! Greetings from Vienna (it is hot, o.k., but I prefer the heath to the chillnes!), Vera

A beautiful album of Plumerias, Galit. They are such lovely flowers. Their yellow throat is a nature's miracle. We call it the temple tree in India, and is found almost in every house having a garden. Excellent photographs. You do know how to keep the attention of the viewer. Best wishes, Suresh

Hi Galit, Beautiful album! I love these flowers. I love their colors and their shapes and the various stages of development. I first saw them on my first trip to Hawaii many years ago. In yellow and in pink, they were strung together to make up the leis placed by pretty girls there around the tourists necks. I later saw them in just about every garden in the island. Much later I found out from Gladys (gladysclancy) that they are very popular in Australia and now Israel. They must be very adaptable flowers to thrive in such different climates. Best wishes from Florida (where, unfortunately, I have not yet seen any Plumeria), Paul. P.S. When I first saw that unidentified flower in Yellowstone, I thought that it might be evening primrose, but when I got home I realized that it looked substantially different from the evening primrose I had photographed three years earlier in Yosemite. It was also wide open when I photographed it during the day in Yellowstone so I doubt that it would be evening primrose, but who know? It might be a different variety or a close relative. In any case, thank you for your trying.

Hi Galit.. Enjoyed going through this wonderful array of Frangipani Flowers once again and enjoyed your new additions. They look magnificent on the screen and only lack the perfume. Think they rank highly with Roses and Carnations as everyone's favourites worldwide. Mine have lost their leaves and look like sticks on this windy, rainy day, so it was a pleasure to enjoy your flowers.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hello Galit, I am surprised to find I have not yet made a comment on this album, shame on me. Lovely album of a lovely flower. I saw Yair's featured one yesterday & commented. I did have a bush in my African garden. I see you have 'Temple flower' in your title, I did say to Yair, it used to be called 'Temple flower of Ceylon' in the old days. I came across to rell you that for some reason on my bookmark page you show as no activety since 02 Sug 05! strange ways of ws computers! Eric
