Hello once again Ella and I hope that winter goes out like a lamb for you over there in the land of the long white cloud. We, at last, are getting some rain - not a lot, mind, but anything is better than nothing. The dams are looking VERY sorry for themselves. Fortunately we have had a bore for the last couple of years and it's that that has enabled us to keep our garden in reasonably good order. In that connection I would like to say a warm Thanks to you for looking at my Garden in Winter album. Since photographing the roses I have been round with the pruning shears so right now they are all looking rather sorry for themselves! Whoa, Ella, I am so glad I came back. Whirlwind album of unique images which tear you between ohhhs and ahhhhhhs. What a nice collection of beautiful images you've captured for us to enjoy! Very nice, Ella, you're quite the artist! Plus you're from New Zealand which puts you right up there in my book (with the Aussies, see Peider, ah Peter below). You mentioned the users group, I did sign up for it a while ago, but honestly only peeked in a few times. I am a shy little German girl (?), not so much the vocal type. Actually I'm in recovery from a back injury (crashed with a horse first of the year) and can barely keep up with the gbs and e-mails right now. I was also so lucky and happy to be featured 6wks ago but with that comes a lot of writing. We just moved back to the US after living in Singapore for 4 years and I miss the world out there so much. But Webshots is so AWESOME, I've met more fantastic people here in just a month from all over the wonderful world than I have in the last 10 years of traveling. My aunt's name is Ella. I am glad I found your site. I can't begin to tell you how many of this album (and later the spider webs), I am downloading. You have a great eye and probably a very good camera as well (such great clarity with your zoom or macro shots)!! I would LOVE to know what camera you use, where you live since a lot of the photos appear to be taken at or near where you live (unless I'm not correct about that)! I've added you as a favorite to my bcharpen4 site (I'm bcharpen, bcharpen1, etc.), I believe. I love nature photos (clouds, ocean, rocks, sunrise, sunset, birds, flowers, etc.). Hello Ella, A lady by the name of Carol invited me to this album of Nature, sure have the name right, many beauties within this album. Couldn't pick a favorite, but have my eye on #1 of beaded up grass, 17 of your flaxleaf, interesting composition, #42 is quite beautiful of an early morning sunrise. #61 of the Maybush diamonds/morning dew, #135, another morning mist - do like the diamonds. The twisted tree in #153 looks like it had a hard life, undoubtedly a hardwood, would you know what it is? Your foxglove in #165 is interesting, a real beauty in this State too and interesting to shoot. I was wondering all along where you might live, then ran onto #171, where NZ came flying out in green colors. Quite an album. I thanked Carol already on this invitation and I approve of your tour.
