Steve, This is different of your usual albums-visiting another part of the world around you. The Black Swan photo, I was looking at the small photo first, trying to figure out why you would shoot a red 'whatever-it-was', so enlarged it to find a Black Swan. Interesting how the brain reacts sometimes. Where do you live, anyway. Thanks for the look. Ron/Oregon Coast

Hi Steve - Your photos are right on the money, I wish you'd given a name to these specimens, though, sure help some of us that don't the difference, like myself. Some of the ID books have little to do with the names of the fungi. Do appreciate your time. Best regards and greetings from the Oregon Coast. Ron

It has even sparked my yearning to see more than my little corner of the world - Nova Scotia- for the first time, and in Feb.06 I look forward to offering you and all interested the view through MY lens of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Good Morning Steve. I keep coming back to view this album because I really enjoy these little red things. Didn't you say it was gum sap? Do you artifically light these images or is it natural lighting. How big are they? Just from your images, I would think them are no bigger than a couple inches. Thanks for sharing. You are listed as one of my favorite members, but I'm disturbed by your latest additions: MG 4729, 4711, and 4724: specifically, in photo 4711, what are those metal-like things seemingly appearing out of the mouth of that cat? Please explain! That cat looks absolutely uncomfortable posing for your pics. Please reassure me to the contrary. From an animal lover! Miriam Mishory (mimi_@netvision.net.il)

Mushrooms are indeed a world apart. Yours are among the most surprising photos in ws. Besides discovering always new mushrooms in your photos, they are always incredibly beautiful, with a great result of the (often brillinatly coloured) subject, even in dimmed light. Thank you again! Steve, your photos are excellent. Really good to see more Australian members of the genus Corvus represented. How white is that eye! By the way, I suspect from the proportions and location that they are C. mellori (Little Raven).

So many of your photos look as if they should be done as paintings. You capture enough detail to make them stunning, and with your birds, the hazy backgrounds really make them stand out. I especially like "More Cuddling", and your last photo of the Springs. Charlotte in Texas

Tongue point; stunning, Two apostles; achingly beautiful, Your photos are so inspiring; after viewing them,Wilson's Promontory has just been placed on my must-see travel list. I am in awe of your talent and of the patience and dedication to get your bird and animal photos. I have never seen some of your subjects before and doubt I will ever see them live. Your photos are truly enriching the lives of the viewers. Thank You.

Hi Steve, 217_1710, what a beautifully fortuitous combination of elements. Was this digital? It reminds me of one of mine over at the Barnchaser site, "Keystone Park". ;) I love the saturation and the combination of water, clouds & shadows, mountains, and water plants. I see a lot of my other Webshots buds have already been here, including "Gypsy, Marianne, Syble and Ken. Trust them to know good photography when they see it. Charlotte
