  • Hey Lorrie, Welcome back but what the heck is a MOOM????I tried logging onto that Sony website and it just wouldn,t let me.So I gave up on it.Is there a way I can send an E-Card to you??? Just wanted to send you a Picture or 2 of the Old English Sheep Dog,s I used to have many MOON,s ago.I miss their company but not the maintenace of them.Lexi suits the bill just fine for me these days.Like I say I really like the the way you use words in your Pics.I alwais seem to struggle with the labeling of mine.. Anyway good to have you back in the fold.I heard of WebShots in 2001 but just started using the site myself just this year as a means of sharing my shoe-box with the ski club my wife n I belong to.I did SKI in Grand Targee on one of those 25 inch powder days in 1998 and it was a bear.I rode the lift with some dude and he was wearing one of those swim snorkels.I thought it was an odd piece of equipement to me but I soon found out why,"LoL". • Hi Lorry, this seems to be a promising album, one to be visitited every month or two. The pictures you added so far are very beautiful. I'd like to thank you for visiting my Slovenia & Montenegro album and for your very kind words in the guestbook. You're invited to take a look at my recent album that was released a week ago, documenting my visit to Genoa, Italy. Have a lovely week, Yair.

  • This is great stuff Lorrie and I wish you success with this album because, as I have found, taking good photos of the moon with our ordinary digicams aint easy! I've tried it every which way but when and only once have I succeeded in getting it as I wanted - trouble is I can't remember how I did it! Unlike you I don't know that I can motivate myself to get up at 4 a.m. (hey, that was a great shot by the way) I'll be keeping an eye on this album as it grows and shall be depending on you to pass on some of your secrets. Cheers now and hugs from down under, Peter. Oooops, silly me darn nearly forgot to say a big thank you for your flattering comments on my roses. Another couple of weeks and all 70 of them will be in full flower! An extra hug, Peter

  • Hi Lorrie, well we are now affected by the moon, or is it the moon and Red wine mix, great story though. I can never seem to get the moon shots right, but I keep on trying, take care Ken (UK)

  • Lorrie, Itried to send an E.M.to you but it failed to deliver. The Scanner I use is an Epsom Perfection1260 It is very slow to scan slides with it,so if you are going to do this I,m sure there are a lot better ones on the market!! I :clean :them up on a Prog. called :Photosuite: to get rid of dust and scratches etc. It also is good for restoring the colour to old slides, you will have a lot of fun doing this ,and it brings back good memories...Have fun. JOE...P.S. I,ve deleted your entry.

  • Hi Lorrie, I see that you keep adding pictures to this album so I have to visit more often. I noticed that today you also visited my Baha'i Gardens album and would like to thank you for both visits. You're alway invited to visit my albums, they are spread among so many accounts so it's hard to locate them all. That's why I created a new album today which should serve as a directory to my albums. I hope it will be useful. Take care, Yair. PS: sorry I had a typo in writing your name in the previous time I visited this album (2 months ago)

  • Hi again buddy and many thanks for writing in my Russ Cottage album. I could have sworn I have made that Private as I didn't consider it really suitable for general exhibition and had done it just for the local Visitors' Bureau and the guy who showed us round. I'll have to check myself more carefully in future! But have no fear - there's a load of Public photos to come out of our weekend away!! LOL Love and hugs, Peter

  • Oh Lorrie I am thinking that pretty soon every one of your albums will have a song title in it(heehee) I can never think up great titles anyway so maybe that's the answer?? The foggy moon is so neat. It's very difficult for me anyway to capture night shots let alone the moon. You're good at it though gal. Till Later...Kathryn

Visiting relatives from now until xmas eve, got to do my duty. take care and god bless Ken and Carolynn

  • Thanks Lorrie for the two gb's in my 2005 - a Very Good Year and also Our Summer Garden albums. This is now mid summer here and not a good time for taking photos but we'll carry on snapping and hoping for the best. It's around the full moon period now but tonight we have ten tenths cloud so no chance of getting outside. Fingers crossed for tomorrow but no way will I get results as good as yours. Love and hugs, Peter

  • Hi Lorrie, Thanks for visiting my Jackson etc album. I really like the fact that you've named the moons as the Native Americans did. Very interesting but I'm sure you'll agree thet the moon is very difficult to photograph. You've managed it on several occassions though. Thanks for sharing Lorrie. I'll be back again in the future. If you're ever in Scotland I'll reciprocate the invite. There's accommodation here if you need it! Warm regards, Craig from Scotland

  • After looking at your album, I realized there is a difference between a good photographer using the moon as an aspect of a nice photo, and someone who admires the moon taking a photo of it. I believe you belong to the second category. Great stuff!

  • Nice pictures of the moon, but I have to say that American Indians have a name for each moon. Most native Americans (those citizens that were born in this country), however, don't call the moon much of anything. DaithiVA

  • Nice shots of the moon that we earthlings tend to take for granted. Whenever I come across the moon my tripod does not seem to be in the vicinity. Your moon shots are excellent, well done. Thanks for visiting. The fall season is with us, so let's take lots of fall pictures. Regards. Paul, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
