I heard that you were the "king of sunsets" and, as a fellow admirer of heavenly colors, I rushed right over. Well, the title is not only well deserved, but understated! Truely inspiring images! Hey my sweet friend! "ROFL" means Rolling on the Floor Laughing! Now you understand why I put that in the note after saying I wanted to be like you when I grow up. The man made lake in one of my pics that you inquired about is the lake for our subdivision. It has a gazebo, fountains, and lots of geese that can't seem to leave it. They love the lake, and I love the geese. Works well for me! I am having such a great time with my camera, and with you for a mentor, I will get better and better! Hi Ted! I just can't imagine getting to see all these beautiful sunsets and the glorious colors of the sky that God paints for you to photograph down there on the Gulf. We occasionally get a pretty sunset or sunrise, but living in the city just takes away from the beauty because of all the power lines, etc. But after the storms last week, I'm really grateful for those power lines and the utility workers who got them back up and working. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos. I really appreciate your comments from my Springtime album (and the featured album yesterday). And having such great compliments from you means a lot to Bob and me. Your albums are always top quality! We have felt so blessed that people like some of our photos and it's fun to keep trying to learn from our mistakes and try to improve, but sometimes I think I'm going backwards (in my senior moments). :-)) And my favorite part of the whole WS experience is to hear messages from people all over the world who are home-bound and can't get out to take photographs themselves. Hi Ted, I came across this web page by accident today, and was awe-struck. It is so refreshing to find a man who looks at a cloudy sky and sees the beauty of the light rather than the gloom of the darkness. thanks Ted for the compliment about my webshots album. Personally I promote natural photographing, at the most using a few simple settings on my small digicam and maybe a polarisation filter. For your information, I am a Swiss citizen, 40 years, having lived 9 years in the US (VA and FL), where I did a Ph.D. in biology and some jobs, and travelled all over Southern Europe, but also Panama, Kenya and Thailand. I would never have guessed! : ) I've always dreamed about Interchangeable lenses - but I think I'll manage some time longer without. As you said: there is so much to learn. I like to try everything! I didn't see them all... in those sites I found glorious GOM sunset pictures - they gave me a smile! : ) Your sunsets are much better. Your sunsets have always a soul in form of a very touching caption! Most I like that first sunset you took with the rebel: 'New Hope!' Having the opportunity for Sunrise-Sky-Sunset photography at work sounds very tempting to me! Having a look at the sky at work is impossible for me. Hi Ted. Great album this one!! .... Jeeeeezzz, you are FAST!!! I was just uploading some photos to see how they would show on webshots I hope I will be able to finish it by tomorrorow night. It is about a caribean catnaval in Rotterdam, Holland. Difficult to photograph: dark skins and brilliant daylight.... Anyway, I did some serious cropping on some photos and wanted to see whether they would survive after the 'washing machine' of Webshots. Sorry to keep you in the process of dying from suspense. Hang ten till morning night.... It was only uploading.... I forgot to put it on private insteda of public.... I feel it will be a fine album, although I know most people prefer flowers; as the flower albums are much more popular than my other ones....... Hugs Anna

Interesting sky and cloud pictures. I still like to watch clouds and pick out shapes. The last time I did I saw an alligator. Wish I would have had a camera handy.
