Wow, what a beautiful series of photos of this little spider and its web. We have lots of spiders in our garden, but it's hard to get good pictures of them. This is a fascinating album. I'm wondering how long it took for the spider to fully repair the web? I have lots of spiders in my garden just now. I find them really interesting to watch. Hi Els, the spider is a Mash Web spider, and you are right the are absolutely facinating to watch. this record of one making his or her web is really a wonderful piece of photography, I have recently watched a spider of this species, wrap up a fly and devour a small butterfly caught up in the web. In the case of the fly By the time I went indoors to get my tripod, it had got the fly fully encased in thread. I managed to get pictures of both events but not the wonderful record like yours. Hallo Els! Schitterende reportage. Ik zag laatst ook een paar van die joekels zitten, maar het was in Den Haag bij mijn dochter in de tuin, dus ik kon er alleen een paar losse foto's van maken. Ik zag overigens dat die kruisspinnen ook in diverse modetinten verkrijgbaar zijn. Mooie reportage. En nu eens van een vrouw die niet bang is voor spinnen, blijkbaar!
