My dearest and far friend Ruggero, I will be very brief to congratulate you for this again MAGNIFICENT album, the wonders of your beloved alps, the company of dear Macarena and your best friend Orly. Unfortunately I had to withdraw all my albums as my guestbooks were filled with inappropriate entries and horrible words. Dear Mountain Man, This album is a mineral wonder; All the pictures are perfect as usual, sharp, perfectly composed and contrasted; I retained 1 for colours, 16 for compo, 20 with the moon, 25 & 27 for subject and compo, 32 a master piece, 38 for subject & compo and the great lesson in 45 teaching that sports entertain health and longevity! Anch'io ho dei bellissimi ricordi del Monterosa (capanna Gnifetti-da Alagna Valsesia), ma allora il ghiacciaio mi sembrava molto piu' esteo o mi sbaglio? Ma, ricordo anche di una camminata da Macugnaga proprio per il rifugio Zamboni. Complimenti sia per le fotografie che hanno dei colori stupendi, come delle didascalie, che sono molto esaustive. Un grande album! Per tanti motivi: il tuo ritorno in alta quota, un'altra dimostrazione di amicizia senza confini e, naturalmente, grandi paesaggi magistralmente ripresi. Le immagini rendono bene la grandiosità dell'ambiente, si resta un attimo timorosi nell'avvicinare il gigantesco monte, ma anche solo sfiorare ed osservare dalle pendici quelle potenti lingue ghiacciate è veramente soddisfacente. Bellissimi i colori di una magnifica giornata di settembre, quando le avvisaglie dell'autunno si leggono dai colori trasformati, non più dominati dal verde fosforescente dell'estate, ma tendenti al giallo e al rosso. Molto interessante la sequenza della vallata sottostante, con una corona di nuvole che cambia continuamente, ma persiste ad abbracciare le cime della catena montuosa. Complimenti anche ai due "giovanotti" che hai incontrato. Poi Orly ha ragione: horrible subject sarai tu! Togli il plurale subjects dall'ultima foto! Maria e Orly sono tutt'altro che horrible!!! Wow, Ruggero! This is a superb album of the trek to Monte Rosa. You have captured every nuance of the trek, every turn, evry gorund cover, the scenic valley. the green lake and, of course, the mountain peaks. The sight of the mountains is always a liberating one. It also is a spiritual one because the mountains have been there for milleniums wheras man is just a blip on the screen. It makes you feel how transient the man is.
