Sharon I had to look you up since you wrote in my G/B. Thank you for the very kind words but upon going thru this beautiful album I feel like I have a very long way to go. Your photos are fantastic. I especially love the bright colors in the first one of Marquite Park. Also love the Specticled Owl and the Long Eared Owl. We are trying to find the park in the IL map and guess I am spelling it wrong here. Hello Sharon and Bob! We are late with our CONGRATULATIONS, but they come from heart! You did such a great job!!! All the wonderful autums colors and such amazing topics (even the Busch Stadium is not forgotten...)! I can't mention all my (our) favorite pictures, there are too many... One is the lovely "framed" reflections in #3, then the Gateway Arch with full moon in #6, the Quails in #9 and also the other birds, the golden leaves on Katy Trail (funny name...), and all the wonderful flowers. I also love the little organ (was playing organ in my youth), but I would prefer it without the "ugly man" on it... :-))) You really give us an awesome view of your warm and so colorful autumn, thanks! Your album is one of the best I've seen with the fall colors. I live in the desert in Tucson, Arizona and we really appreciate color when we get to see it. Dear Sharon, I am so proud of you for your honor in being featured.... and none too soon. You are a startlingly-good photographer! I only have one complaint about that "Glorious Day for a Boat Ride" shot-- I may have cost me a new sailboat for my husband (He misses sailing so much!). My only argument is that, while YES, he deserves a great Birthday present, the effect of sailing it on Lake Mead at Hoover Dam, with its bathtub ring and NO trees will NOT give Walt the same feeling as your picture. It's cheaper to print it in High Def and frame it for hanging over his desk. GOOD WORK, Sharon. It literally made his tongue hang out. Perfectly balanced. Astounding color and composition. Beautiful album! We used to drink sassafrass tea when I was a girl. Usually in spring, we'd dig a very young sapling (the woods and fencerows were full of them) and use only the reddish part of the root. Scrubbed well, whole pieces of root were boiled in drinking water, and the reddish colored water was used as the tea with cream and sugar. Old timers said sassafrass tea was a tonic and helped purify the blood in the spring. I miss it because sassafrass does not grow out here in El Paso, TX. Also, the green leaves can be dried and used as an herb called file' (feel-ay), and to thicken soups and stews. Charlotte

I am glad that you published your photos on 25 October and not now , it is completely impossible since 48 hours. I love all your photos but # 37 made me laugh loud , your caption is soooooo funny, I even sent the image in a WS card to my son and daughter....great sense of humor dearest Sharon , I went through the slide show again and the whole is magnificent .. but everybody knows that you are the best. We could use your photo # 37 to represent a WS member trying to upload photos ... that is how we would end. :-) My only one album under my new site is unfinished, has several photos which I have to delete but nothing works. Beautiful shots, as always, Sharon! Every one is a stunner, but my favorites have to be the shots of Busch Stadium - I will miss that place. I can remember many a fine evening spent rooting on the Red Birds from just about every angle. The Grafton shots bring back memories for me too, and the MBG is always glorious. Hi Sharon and Bob...Wow, I love the Autumn photos. Your trees there are so bright and colourful. Here they only turned yellow this year and fell before they really had a chance. It was disappointing, but there is always next year. I love the Autumn display with the scarecrow and pumpkins and mums. About an hour from here a greenhouse has an annual Mum display and this year it is phenomenol and I would love to see it, but not this year. Just came home from the hospital yesterday and the display is this weekend. I love the shot you got of the arch too. You did a good job. I never use a tripod, and it shows. You were innovative using a cement wall. Happy 40th birthday to the arch!!! I love the ducks with the colourful trees in the background. What a remarkable shot of the reflection of trees in the water...is it a bird bath? The village looks wonderful with the brilliant colours behind it.I love all the great autum tree scenes. If I keep talking about each one I will have a book written, so I will try to comment just on my favourites...but that is what I AM doing! Painting Autumn is perfect! All the shots at PereState Park are great and of course at the Botanical Gardens. You know I love them and so I won't comment on each one, but will download several! The owls are beautiful too and the eagles. Can you imagine the view from that house? Love Boothill. :-) I like the red water in the fountain. Sorry, the cards didn't win. I love the shot from the top of the arch. I hope you have more of those. I like the harvest photos and the tranquility garden bench too. I love all of the scenery. The scenery across from Missouri is so beautiful (photo with boater on cell phone). I have heard that Busch Stadium is going...what lies ahead, I have not heard? The rest of the album is wonderful too. I just love the colours and the scenes and places. Dressed in finest Autumn colours is glorious!!!. And I love the pumpkins!!! SO glad that was not you playing the organ in church! :-). Great album Sharon and Bob and it should be featured!!! Thank you for your kind comments in my books lately and Bonnie thanks you too. Hi Sharon. How could Autumn not be anyones favorite time of year, unless they live where these colors don't happen. I think you told me that you are a Spring person. As usual, your second home (MBG) looked absolutely 1st class and was a pleasure to look at. I couldn't pick a favorite because I love the lot. One shot that has stuck in my mind is of the beautiful trees of Illinoise across the Mississippi (I think). The beautiful trees generated by your cold Winters would be the only thing I like about your Winter. Commisserations about the Cardinals mate.
