Hallo Els! Jetz erst habe ich ein wenig Zeit in Alben zu gucken... und entdecke Deine wunderschöne, ausführliche Stadtbesichtigung von Leiden! Sehr interessantes und abwechslungsreiches Album! Du hast neben den klassischen Stadtbildern so viel originelle "shots" eingefügt, mit Humor die kulinarischen (4 und 58), das architektonische 20, die spezielle Reflektion in 14, das "Door detail" mit dem eindrücklichen Relief in 45, die schwimmenden Gänse, die hübschen Seerosen, und so weiter... Dear Els, This is a brilliant album of Leiden and I look forward to you doing the other half of the tour some day too. I loved all the details you found in all the buildings, the reflections in the canal, I loved the poem in picture 25 and also the way you gave the feeling that the city is very much alive with fun and lots of people enjoying themselves. Thank you so much for your recent GB entries I'm glad you enjoyed our Steam train ride we are eagerly awaiting the new Harry potter film here very soon now. Hi Els, Thanks for looking at my locust pictures. Yes, they have some very impressive legs. Legs with a build-in saw! I am happy you liked them. A friend of mine studied in Leiden and always told me how beautiful, how special this town is. Your pictures show a lot of the flair of this old and still so young town. I like it very much that your always show some of the flora around. #8 is such a wonderful shot. Beautiful reflections! Hi Els and what a gorgeous album you have here! Beautiful photos of a lovely old city and I am not surprised that Rembrandt became a famous artist - he would have been so inspired by his early, youthful, surroundings. I love the canals and the reflections and, of course, those beautiful old buildings dating back many centuries. Out here a building is old if it was built in the late 19th century - and there are not too many of them about either! Excellent work which made it such a thrill when I read your comments in my latest Wildflowers and Country towns album. Thank you very much for that. Hallo Els, Wat een mooie en gezellige stad is Leiden.Een echte studentenstad is het, al die fietsen geparkeerd bij de grachten en bruggetjes. Je hebt de stad en de mensen die er leven of tijdelijk verblijven heel goed in beeld gebracht. Met plezier heb ik je tocht door de stad meegemaakt.
