  • Hi Rod, As I anticipated this album is stuffed full of super photos by yours truly. It just makes me want to get down there sooner. Its been some years since I went to Dartmouth and I have wanted to get back there ever since. Fingers crossed that the weather is good. I'd love to capture it in the sun. Back soon Rod. Take care. Love Chesca xx

  • Yes, full-sized viewing is the very best ... all of the photos are excellent, but the newest ones are fantastically wonderful!

  • Hi Rod, I've looked at a few of the pics here as this is one of the places I want to take some shots of when down there soon. I can already see that they are up to your usual sooper standard. I will come back later when at home and look at them properly and, I dare say, leave lots of messages. Hope you are having a good day. Bye for now. Love Chesca xx

  • Hi Rod, Thanks for your very kind words for my boats album, I can only take inspiration from you the master of these types of pics, I was intending to come down again to your beloved West Country this Summer but it now looks as though I will not make it, so it looks like another invasion of the East Coast, not so dramatic and picturesque but a good substitute none the less. I love your photography it always gives me a target to achieve the same, but if I live to be 100 I know that I can never acheive that. so I will keep trying and keep hoping for a good pic here and there lol take care Rod and God Bless Ken

  • Hi Rod, just got round to looking at this great album. Many memories for us as well. Our son was at the College & was married there in the chapel. As Ken say's why no pic of college?. We also knew someone who worked in that cnr tudor building & we used to stay with her. Now if you like tudor buildings, I have a whole album of them over on my new user name ericy202, some a little more unusual than most you see. Eric

  • Dear Rod, I was very touched by the message you left at my featured album with roses the other day! Thank you very much! This album is soooo beautiful!I chose some favourites, but with difficulty, as your shots gathered here are indeed showing such attractive spots. Here I go:2/3/10/42/51/54/55/57. An excellent album of this valley! Best regards to you from Japan, Gabriela

  • Hi Rod, What a spledid album of the Dart Valley, We have spent several holidays in that area, and dined in one or two of those pubs, I think that you have captured Dartmouth very well, the only thing you missed was the Royal Naval College, An excellent album take care Ken

  • Hi Rod from Canada!Boy did your album on Dartmouth bring back memories! I have been there a few times! 4 times with the Vancouver Kitsalino Boys Band in 1970-72 and once on my own in 1974. I remember playing at the bandshell on the esplanade during the Regatas! We stayed in what was an old disco! I do have some old slides of Dartmouth of the High Ferry and the inner harbour plus around town but your shots are of better quality as mine have deteriorated over the years. I do hope to get back there some day! It was one of my favorite places! Cheers. Bill.

  • Rod...I love this album!! I love all the old buildings, the cottages, the river. When you took a shot at the marina, you can see the houses and buildings in the background and that is great. All your shots good except for the one of the church where the tracter is beside it. I am not critizing when the rest of the album is so very interesting and beautiful. Thank you for sharing., warmly, Barbara. http://community.webshots.com/user/midnight_lace
