the Railway Station - Gone with the fog!

Album Description:
The fog appeared unexpected and was very dense. Surprisingly the flowers on my way kept their color maybe because of the contrast to the gray surroundings.

Hello Galit! These are truly inspiring misty photos, not from a misty person! For I think that only cheerful joyful erson can have the true sense and talent capturing the Beauty of the Mist! Congratulations to you and thank you for sharing the misty joyfulness! Warm greetings from CS!

P.S. Forgot to tell you that I like the new profiles pics (is that a camera you're holding in the larger pic?). Plus "hiding beauty", "nailing the fog", "more misty trees", and the water drop pics are some of my favorites. I didn't realize you had frangipanis where you live. I guess I thought, mistakenly, that they were only in Hawaii. How silly of me. Recently, someone had a picture of a flower in their country in Europe that I found in my town! Amazing isn't it?!

Galit, thank you for sharing your thoughts about my flower & plant album. I can't believe I forgot to put in my poor representation of bottle brush compared to your stunning album. Thank you for naming one of my flower photos for me (I changed the caption to include your comment and name). Yes, I think I'll try #35 in B&W and add it to the album. I've done some sepia photos for a 6th grade Shakespeare play where I work. I've been having fun trying it on other things (just tried a tree which I'll add to the Plant Album). I LOVE this album, especially when you keep zooming in closer & closer and when you show how the fog gets thicker & thicker. Those birds you zoomed in look so cute even in the fog. We don't get fog here as often as I would like, so I'll come to your album when I get the yen. The last photo (bark) has a tiny green growth peeking out that I was pleased to see. I can't even begin to name all the photos in this album I feel in love with. THANK YOU for them all. Going to check out your other new albums now. You have a wonderful week and look forward to anything new you add. More albums on bcharpen1 & bcharpen2 (just finished shooting some more this weekend of where I live). Wish I could go on another trip. Last ones were the Desert album and Malibu Park album.

Galit - Thank you for helping me to find this fantastic work. It would have taken me months before I could have gotten around to viewing it. This is certainly a beautiful album you have created on fog. Mine is still in works and will not be out until sometime in early spring. The fog is a constant this time of year and creates such a wonderful opportunity for extraordinary captures. I truly enjoyed and appreciated your talented work - I know the process and challenges shooting under these conditions create. You are exceptionally skilled in these captures. The images you have are superb in every measure. Thank you, again. This has been a great pleasure and I feel very fortunate that you have shared these with me. Best regards, Stan

Hello Galit. 'A wet cat by the way' taking a rest in the mist, is a gorgeous photo. It would make a wonderful painting. I tried downloading it but I wasn't able to. These problems with Webshots seem to be never ending. I will have to come back and try again. I would so like it as a screensaver. I've also dropped by to ask a BIG favour. Do you happen to have a photo of a postbox from your country? As I have a passion for postboxes from the UK, I thought it might be interesting to see what they look like further afield, so I have posted an album called 'Postboxes from around the World'. This is where I need the help from the Webshots community. If you don't have a photo, and I ask you very nicely, would you mind taking one for me. If it's no trouble, you could then pop it at the end of one of your albums, then when you let me know about it, I can make a copy of it. I am so excited about this project... I look forward to hearing from you. Love to you and a big hug for Yoav, Jayne xx

This is a very beautiful album Galit! You managed to cature bautiful pictures and create a very unusual atmosphere, almost painting like. I loved your drops macros, very beautiful structure and very clear picture. I really enjoyed this album. Tirza

Hi Galit! Me to I have the idea of a album about fog (I don't know when it will be ready, but I'm collecting many shots for now), anyway I'm sure that I will not able to capture nothing so strange like a palm surrounded by it! Really it sound incredible for me! Here fog mean cold, ice, snow :-) ! So thanks to show me that I'm wrong and for your photos (macros and your play with drops are great !). A big CIAO from Italy (in this moment covered by a white cape)! Ruggero

Hi Galit, great to see a new album of yours. The last thing I thought about in that Misty day was photographing... but your idea was good and the result is very interesting. Since you dedicated many of your albums to colors, this one could be dedicated to Grey, although the very colorful roses do not fit to that... Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Yair.

Hiya Galit and this is a great idea - to take photos of a subject very few others would have ever considered. Doesn't it make for some interesting effects? With a little bit of help from Photoshop or similar you could conjure up ghostly figures coming at you out of the mist or countless other scenes of mystery! I really do love it and once again give you a pat on the back for being clever enough to come up with an album like this. Very well done. By the way, it should come as no surprise to you that I have chosen one of your strawberries as part of my collection of favourite photos!! That's the glutton coming out in me! LOL Love and hugs, Peter

Hello Grannie, Thought I heard that you didn't have any fog, or maybe it was very little, but you've got my attention now!! The photos are nice...and WET. Great stuff here. I downloaded #1 and put it into my favorite column on my homesite, something WS has opened for us. Hope all is fine and dandy for you and yours. Here's wishing you greetings and best wishes from a clear Oregon coastline, TODAY. Ron

Hi Galit! Oh such a dense Fog and I assume it is the onset of your winter. As you said, the colours of the flowers are amazing under the circumstances and contrast beautifully with the misty conditions. Well done. Pleased you did not get lost in the Fog and thankyou for sharing.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hallo Galit!
