  • Hello, the photos in this album are amazing. The clarity and composition is a credit to your skill, patience, and I dare say, equipment. Every shot is a masterpiece by itself, my favorite is the Wasp in Flight. Best wishes, Keith in Sydney.

  • All I can say is WOW! Your photographs of insects are awesome. I especially like the photograph of the dragon fly called "Darner 7". The only way that I can get close up macros like this is to set up my Nikon with two sets of bellows and a 200mm telephoto lens on a tripod. I have to open up the aperature all the way and calculate my "actual F Stop". I then take the picture with a flash unit at a speed of 125th of a second. Doing all of this permits me to 1.) Avoid getting too close to the subject and scaring it. 2)stopping any movement by either the wind or the subject. and 3.)Achieve good depth of field. I wonder how you so beautifully mastered these challenges. Your insect photographs are some of the best on the web. Congratulations. Bill Cable (heyburn3)

  • I'm enjoying your excellent pictures very much! But: The Picture "Beetle&quot ; shows a Bug; the pics "Bee on Bloom" and "Bee on Bloom 2" show Hoverflies (order Diptera, family Syrphids); "Fly united" shows a small species of dragonflies! Greetings from Germany, Günther
